Kid self-imposed censorship…
“She won’t get to heaven.”
No.
“■■■■, I’ve got to have her.”
First album the best IMO. Post-Eliminator not for me, but I don’t blame them.
That many given?
I can’t even do Eliminator. That thing is 99% programmed.
Give me Tres Hombres.
Rio Grande Mud was my fave ZZ Top LP way back in the 70’s
Was it his character that died driving a car off a cliff? I remember bits of the show.
I remember someone burning his clothes, possibly Carly.
Or I don’t. Who knows.
Nah died from blood poisoning.
He was in a motorbike crash at some point.
Sure you didn’t dream it like Pam Ewing dreamt of Bobbie’s death in Dallas?
The other Brian who told me

Legendary broadcaster Brian Henderson has died aged 89 following a battle with cancer.

He also hosted Bandstand from 1958 until 1972.
TV legend Brian Henderson has died aged 89. (Nine)
His long-time wife and daughters were by his bedside as he died.
Today host Karl Stefanovic said Henderson was “an absolute legend”.
“A gentleman and a total professional who provided guidance and inspiration for so many colleagues and generations who followed,” he said.
“We loved him.”
Henderson was a pioneer of news and entertainment television. (Today)
Henderson was married to his wife Mardi for 48 years.
They had two daughters, Jody and Nicole.
Henderson also had two children from his first marriage.
Henderson was inducted into the Logies Hall of Fame in 2013. (Today)
He won two Gold Logies in his life, the first in 1968 as the host of Bandstand.
In 2013 he received a second, when he became the 30th member of the TV Week Logies Hall of Fame.
He was also made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2009 for his contributions to TV news, entertainment, and journalism.
Henderson was diagnosed with kidney cancer last year. (9News)
Henderson survived multiple battles with cancer, before opting not to receive treatment for kidney cancer last year.
Nine’s Peter Overton interviewed Henderson not long after that diagnosis, and said he had not been scared of death.
“I asked him how he felt about death and he said that when he is on the other side and one day when I come over, we could catch up for a drink,” Overton wrote.
More to come…
Definitely thought he was already dead.
Good innings for Brian. RIP
It was always convenient for Nine that their Sydney and Melbourne news anchors were both Brians (and so were their wives), so they could use “Brian told me” as their ad.
Brian Naylor, of course, died on Black Saturday, 2009 in Kinglake West…as did his wife.
That’s two of the gang gone in under 12 months. One of my favourite bands in the early 80’s. I first got into them when a DJ called Paul Marinelli had a grouse saturday night dance show on the radio. I can;t remember what the show was called or what staiton it was on. May have been on 3RRR .
“Dance Till Dawn” 3RRR But don’t think it was early 80’s, think it was later 80’s.
EDIT: just found this:
‘Dance Till Dawn’ - dance music radio show hosted by the legendary Melbourne DJ Paul Marinelli back in the late 80’s, originally on 3RRR occupying the 2am-6am timeslot on a Friday night, used to follow Alen Rados’ show.
Who remembers the letters and cheerio’s, staying up late to listen, the vinyl from Central Station records, and Paul’s smooth voice and mixes?
This is a page for all those wanting to pay homage to Paul Marinelli and the show - and for fans of dance/disco/hi-nrg/euro music of the 80’s and early 90’s.
Lets see if we can recall some of those classic tracks that were the soundtrack of our youth…
That will learn you to be less definite
Thanks Ice Temple. The good old days of Lime, Mike Maureen , Ken Laszlo , Mel and Kim etc .
They do sound a bit dorky now ,but they were hip back in the day .
Markie Post, the lawyer Christine Sullivan in Night Court gone at 70 from cancer. Night Court was up there with the funniest sitcoms of all time imo and Markie Post was a fantastic part of it
