CEO - Xavier "Drive Purposeful Innovation" Campbell — well… bye!

He apologised to the players for upsetting them, where is the supporters apology for this garbage Xavier

We don’t matter and nor do the players. This club showed that a long time ago.
It is a business not a footy club that is on the bottom of the to do list.

Fark off Xavier and take Worstfold with you

But he made us a profit!!!

He is gutless. Does not have the best interests of the club. He should just move to the AFL and be done with the charade.

No he didn’t. He didn’t apologise for what he said, he apologised because he went public with it prior to the players being told those home truths behind closed doors. How is this so farking difficult for people to understand!

Once again;

  • he DID NOT apologise for saying nasty things about the players
  • he DID apologise for going public with criticism prior to that criticism being delivered to the players (which it was)

Now maybe you think that’s still over the top (understandable), but this idea that he was forced to apologise merely because he criticised the players is a total Blitz myth

Yeah…but…what are his KPIs?

Essendon loses a game:

“Hey, remember that time Xavier apologised for a tweet?”

It’s amazing. Some people post it literally every time we lose! It happened in 2017!

The X-Tweet fast becoming one of the all-time Blitz memetic pillars.

Nowhere near as concerning as the idiot extending Woosha’s contract just days after the Swans bent us over sans lube in a final.
That final alone should have been the trigger to fire Worsfold

That fact that he apologised for going public and that the players were upset about it- says everything you need to know about the culture of the club

If he cared about the Essendon football club, which he clearly does, he should be taking that attitude into the AFLHQ and tipping the scales back in our direction.

should go straight to the Blitz Memes thread.

wait. do we have one of those?!?

He either needs to fark off (my preferred option), or remove himself and his ego from areas that are not his areas of expertise. First one is to get the fark out of recruiting, and stop selling the farking farm every time he sees something new and shiny. Next thing is to drop the farking Richmond obsession. You don’t become the best by religiously following the plans of the last guy who was there, you become the best by creating the next way. This crap of lets get Richardson (the fish that Richmond rejects), let’s get Townsend (the fish that Richmond rejects), and let’s appoint Rutten (a guy who hasn’t been an assistant coach for very long, and has only ever coached defence, but hey, we think Adelaide might be interested, and you know, Richmond) with no due process, no considering any alternatives is just rubbish.

Too early to question Rutten gotta give him at least next year when he has full reigns.

Agree that Xavier needs to go

He probably didn’t leave because the AFL were laying off staff due to cov19, was it 700 staff?
So far better to stay at EFC until it blows over then, move to the big house in town.

Wait…what? He has a hand in recruiting?!?

Sigh

WE ARE COOKED

Melbourne yes Melbourne president had the balls to do it not our Xavier…is there a safe space in the HAngar!
