Spurs all but through to the next round, still in the hunt for top 8. Xavi Simons is having a great week.
Late pen for Liverpool for a shirt tug get them past Inter.

pretty soft pen for liverpool if you ask me
Soft or not the defender made no attempt to the ball.
Did they play kids mrjez?
Pretty standard lineup, but Archie Gray is getting a lot of minutes recently, which is great.
Van dijk handled the ball in the box too but it didnât even get a look
The ending to the Benfica v Real Madrid game ![]()
Keeper scores in the last minute
Its Mourinho magic .. lol
That was brilliant.
And Spurs get it done with relative ease.
Real and PSG not in the 8 is chefâs kiss. Newcastle nearly got there over PSG, theyâd be spewing.
Spurs obviously putting all their eggs in the CL basket because they have been deplorable in the EPL but seem to lift a cog. They are probably the only surprise that 5 of the top 8 are English sides though.
Still got a feeling though that someone coming from deeper might win it
Almost every club in the top 6 (probably bar Villa) have been deplorable this year yet are excelling on the European stage. Despite being on top most of the season, a lot of Arsenal fans Iâve spoken to are filthy with the way they are playing this season as well. Donât know if that tells us that the EPL is just a super competitive league or the rest of the so called top European teams are dogshite.
Difference are Spurs are REALLY deplorable in the EPL. Closer to the drop zone than a European spot
Not just the financial clout these days, but reckon itâs the greater physicality of the EPL which allows English clubs to perform well in the CL. Bit more time on the ball, coupled with refs that give anything a foul as compared to English refs. Muani for Spurs, Havertz for the Arse, Joao Pedro being able to weave and strike well as he did .. and the way Liverpool and City eased through sort of backs that up .. me thinks anyway.
Much better format of this competition got to say.
But that Benfica keeperâs goal, what a finishing moment
Italian teams spanked the last two nights, the big one Bodo/Glimt 3-1 over Inter. The B/G train rolls on.
Amazing effort as the Norwegian league is out of season and doesnât start for about another month. Itâs also a very ordinary standard of football so huge result
And now they turn them over at the San Siro. Inter had 70% and 33 shots, but B/G come out 1-2.
Disastrous result for Inter. Runaway leaders of Serie A and get beaten by a bunch of part timers from a league that is pretty close to A-League standard
Italian soccer is finished. Once a powerful league is now a B grade league.
Atalanta pull off a huge result to knock out Dortmund, and now Juve are 3-0 up and brought their tie to extra time, even though they disgracefully copped a red card shortly after half time
