Liverpool are allergic to winning games early.

Could we put one to bed early please? For once?

To be honest the goals we conceded were a tad unlucky and both courtesy of deflections. The first one should’ve been chalked off as an Atleti player was interfering with play in an offside position. But it would be nice to win a game 2-0 without fuss.

Bodo are a tough side at home and were better than us. Spurs to their credit have been finding a way to grind away and get a point.

Liverpool have been poor all year. We’ve masked it with a bunch of last minute winners, but we’ve been relying on that against teams that we really shouldn’t.

We are obviously balancing a huge upheaval of the squad (and trying to integrate some genuine talent) and also I imagine the Jota tragedy still weighs pretty heavily.

We have a pretty tough run in the prem coming up, we’d want to get on top of it shortly.

Im still not worried. The year we won this thing we lost an early game in Serbia and copped the whole “Liverpool are rinsed thing”

It’s clear Slot doesn’t know what his best XI is, and that’s a concern. Almost too much choice. Last season he made minimal changes, and was often criticised for it, but you got a settled line-up and consistent performances throughout. This season he has rotated and he’s now been criticised for that. With an eye to Chelsea on the weekend he had to to an extent, but maybe could’ve played Bradley at RB instead of Dom. Played Frimpong at RW and rested Salah. Isak needs to get match fit. We just need to hold the fort. Alisson and Ekitike picked up injuries this morning too. Not ideal.
