Changes for 2021 Dreamtime V Tigers

What’s happened to Laverde?

Knee complaint. Is 50/50 for the game.

Lots of our players havnt beaten Richmond before, really hope we can. Would be just as huge as the westcoast win I reckon if not more.

Keen for the weekend!! Go dons

Cumulatively, this would be a massive win. Singular, huge. I thing if we at least stay in it the whole way we’ve got nearly everyone looking over their shoulders. Nearly everyone.

With Nank OUT, it makes selection of a 2nd Ruckman for us highly unlikely.
We need all the running power we can muster against the Tiges, so I’m glad the decision has been made easier.

I actually think we will shade them in the midfield duel, so it will come down to how well our forwards can engage Balta, Grimes & Vlaustin.
If Hooker and String can have a big first half, hopefully some opportunities open up for Jones and Waterman.

I can’t wait to see how we go.

Angus Baker is high on our list to ensure we have another option across half back/depth in midfield but he is in Victoria. So at least 3 weeks until he will be with team if picked up tonight.

Josh Green is the other one we a considering and he is in NSW so wouldn’t be ready until he trained, played some VFL and understood our midfield structures.

Other draftee experts might know more of the other options we are after and if they will take space on list or play in our best 22

That’s something Lachy Johnson is good at, Cahill pretty good too with tackle count.

Ham can fill in other roles.

Lachy Johnson won’t be getting a game. Out of Ham/Cahill to come in

I want to believe we are heading in the right direction, but I think the last 20 years of nightmares following this club is holding me back from going all in. Anyone else in the same boat?

That sucks. Hope it’s nothing serious and they are all home together soon

Who tackles better?

We’re ■■■■■■ now. Thanks

Tigers have Nankervis out so I’d like to see Bryan come in… At this stage I think changes could be;-

OUT: Laverde, Zerk, Jones
IN: Francis, Bryan, Ham

Team:

Francis Stewart Redman
Heppell Ridley Hind
Cox Merrett Ham
Perkins Langford Zakka
Stringer Hooker Tippa

Phillips Parish McGrath

Bench: Guelfi Snelling Waterman Bryan
SUB: Ambrose?

Jones was instrumental in us winning that game against the Weagles, his most complete performance. I’m not sure why we’d contemplate resting him with the bye coming up and a likely a halt to the season.

Ins Francis Draper Ham
outs Laverde Phillips Snelling

Cox/Langford to rotate ruck and Hooker/stringer ruck forward

Zaka Sub

IN: Francis, Ham
OUT: ZT, Snelling

Would love to see Bryan come in to give some tall mobility around the ground but who would he replace? Can’t be Hooker. Can’t be Jones. Those two too important and can rest in the Bye. Waterman? No, we need the ground strength against the Tiges. Maybe Bryan as the Sub. Useful if we lose a tall and would keep up the pressure in the air. If we lost a small, he has the pace and mobility to give a flexible option.

Richmond midfield is weak at stoppages at the best of times. Our midfield should dominate clearances. Given 6-6-6 Richmond will try to throttle the game to a low scoring affair, we need to get a shootout going, dominate I50s and press home our midfield dominance.

If Richmond clag up our ball movement and restrict our scoring they will win.

One should not mention such things in polite company.

Also not here.

40000+ tickets sold already. Looking to be a sellout, with only seats now available in the top tier. Our home game. This will help our bottom line a lot, in a season destined for Covid chaos and consequential depressed gate receipts.
