Changes for Anzac Day 2025

Langford back provides Caddy support

I’d love Durham up forward however without Caldwell available needed in the guts

Goldy is going to get absolutely monstered in the ruck, so Setters goes to Sidebottom and sticks to him like glue, even if he doesn’t get his own stats minimise him and job done.

I’m also considering Redman move into the middle, we need a big body in there on top of Merrett and Durham., Setters offsets with Sidebottom.

Langford back means Caddy gets the 3rd best defender at least.

lol, no. Redman only in the backline. Can’t you remember what he did in the first quarter v Hawthorn.

Durham must attend more centre bounces. Think he isn’t utilised enough at half forward.

This would be just about the worst match up possible. May as well play Goldy on Daicos.

I reckon Durham goes to daicos in the centre, he took Reid a lot last week. Setterfield probably goes to Pendlebury and then long will take Shiel or Merrett. If long is hunting the pill they might switch setterfield on to him and then let Merrett/Shiel go head to head with Pendlebury.

I put duursma on sidebottom and let Martin go head to head with their other wingman.

Down back i’d line up like this:

Rids - mihocek
reid - cox
McKay - McStay
Elliot - prior
McGrath - hill
Redman - degoey
Roberts - mccreery

Tsatas should play

We are only as good as the garbage we encounter. We are judged more harshly in how we perform against stronger squads.

I think it will be he or Davey in for seh and given the vest

What I’d like,
In Goldstein, Langford, Tsatas (sub)
Out Draper, Jones (if wet) SEH (back next week not as sub).

What it will probably be,
In Goldstein Langford
Out Draper SEH,
Sub Menzie

Even if we do beat some good sides you still have some say that the other team had an off day and Essendon were lucky or if we played them at home we would have lost etc

Well Collingwood rolled the premiers on their home deck by almost ten goals.

And are save one or two absences at 100%

We on the other hand are probably absent our two best players of the year outside the captain. And notoriously flying back from Perth.

Realists wouldn’t expect a lot come Friday.

I hope to be pleasantly surprised of course.

Like this mix …
First Crack Montagna put Gresham on a bit of a watch (fwiw). Him dropping to sub and coming on with a head of steam be just the ticket to get him up and about.

If it’s going to be wet then yes I think Tsatas should play. He’s a ball magnet and the conditions will negate his awful kicking

I dont know if its the gunja talking but I keep getting premonitions of a rain soaked MCG and Caddy snapping the sealer mid way through the last quarter with Collingwood fans evacuating like a fire drill.
