Changes for Anzac Day 2025

He is ranked the 11th worst kick in the league in terms of direct turnovers by foot. When you add onto the fact that he rarely actually attempts the harder kicks (which is a positive because he is ■■■■■) it shows you how poor he is by foot.
Yes Tsatas is probably worse, but it doesnt matter when they are both horrible. One is 20 and very good in other areas, the other is 32.
Its an absolute no brainer of a choice.

Brad sure loves going in too tall in wet weather games.

He’s too stubborn to listen to a weather forecast

We’re so tall playing against one of the smallest and fleetest teams in the league. They are going to run us off our feet.

Langford in is good, but a tall had to go out.

Still no Tsatas is getting ridiculous

Regardless of rain or not, I just think we are too tall in forward half.

I’d have liked SEH to stay in ahead of Jones.

Had to be Jones. He’s done absolutely nothing to warrant another selection

Remember when we tried Shiel off half back and he was awful so we moved him to the midfield to the detriment of our 20yo pick 5 who has worked his ass off for an opportunity? Good times.

I yearn for the days of Rutten.

We need more former north staff.
We don’t have enough.

We have to absorb their winning culture.

Only ■■■■■■■ essendon

Boggles the mind. The whole selection panel has no discernment strategy.

I don’t rate Tsatas, but if he’s physically right to play, you have to play him. He’s a top 5 pick and needs games under his belt.

Saad is just the player we need zipping out of the back half and should get a full game.

Jones out should have been a no brainer.

There is no strategy, regard for the weather or integrity whatsoever.

It’s utterly predictable and damnright depressing.

disappointing el-Hawli out but at least might get a full game at VFL level.

good to see old Goldy come in.

It’s obvious that Dodoro left Harry Jones the compromising photos of Barhamd and Scott which kept him in the job for so long…not sure how Jones is still getting selected hereZ

I don’t get leaving el-hawli out. This is exactly the type of experience he needs/deserves.

People need to chill out.

  1. Picking a tall over a small will make f-all difference to the result
  2. We aren’t meant to be winning the flag this year, so giving Caddy and Jones a marquee game is good experience for them
  3. We still have plenty of smalls on all lines that are good below their knees
  4. There could be f-all rain tomorrow, and it probably won’t be a factor
  5. People are carrying on like Jones is gonna cost us 10 goals
  6. Your favourite player who didn’t get a game sucks too

When did guys like Jones and Menzies become un droppable?

Tsatas broke his hand ya gronk

Why is McKay undroppable?

Got my hands on a document from the club. It’s a process document for the match committee to refer to. Including here FYI

Rank the entire list from 1 (best) to 40 odd (worst). Do this at the start of the season. Rankings can not change after this point regardless of output.

Every Thursday pick the team starting at player 1. If a player is injured just go to the next player down the list. Do not consider players best position. Do not consider team balance. The 23rd player picked is the sub. Now stuff the other 22 players into starting positions.

You have completed match committee.

Sad but true.

Shiel’s kicking the last two weeks has actually been respectable

I’m happy with those changes.

For mine, in reality it’s more like Martin replacing SEH on the wing and Langford replaces Martin in the forward line.

Goldy a no brainer.

Let’s go Dons!
