Changes for Bullflogs

Getting belted by 10 goals every week is real good devlopment for playing youngsters.

Give it another year or so and North high picks will ask for a trade because that’s what will happen

Nah, that ain’t it.

I’d argue that there’s a pretty fair chance that north and hawks could go past us very quickly. Probably in the next two or three years.
They mate be bottom now but you once you get together a core of those highly rated players coming through with 50-100 games it could accelerate very quickly.

I’m not looking forward to next week we are going to make their average list look like the Dogs of 2016 when they won the flag.

You farks better farking lift and beat these arseholes

Sign ridley for how many then lose him for 10 weeks?

Oh Essendon

Cupboard getting pretty bare with Ridley & Guelfi out for extended periods + now Perkins…!!!
We need to shuffle the deck chairs around…
Give Hind a start, Heppell to SUB and let Redman play an attacking style wing we need more players to hit the scoreboard rather than relying on a few…
No harm in bringing in a couple of youngsters who will be fresh - I’d go with Roberts & JDavey

OUT: Perkins, Menzie, Lav
IN: Durham, JDavey, Roberts

Team;-

Kelly McKay McGrath
Martin Cox Hind
Redman Merrett Duursma
Caldwell Stringer Gresham
Draper Langford JDavey

Goldy Setterfield Parish

Bench: Durham Hobbs Roberts Jones
SUB: Heppell

Freshen them up.

The training block pre-Port was as over the top as our press is

Also can we please have forwards who lead towards the kicker

No, standing there with your hands in the air saying ‘kick it to me’ has worked beautifully for years, why change!?

In - Durham Tsatas Hayes Roberts
Out - Perkins Hind Lav Menzie

Heppell Kelly Setterfield Hobbs

Boy, we’re going to miss Ridley on Naughton next week.

It would be nice if we could use this result to finally enter a development phase. But this doesn’t mean throwing all our young players to the wolves. We have to do it gradually over the season.

I like Archie Roberts and Jayden Davey but they need a few more games in the VFL or they could have their development compromised like ADJ last year. Lual isn’t AFL standard yet.

Need to persevere with Hobbs and Cox although they are frustrating me at the moment.

MUST PLAY TSATSAS THIS WEEK

Changes this week:
Out: Perkins, Menzie, Laverde
In: Durham, Tsatsas, Hayes

Anzac Day:
In: Wright
Out: Goldstein

May/June: bring in Caddy and ADJ (injuries will determine who they replace.) Roberts (out: Kelly), Bryan (out Draper, Groin injury).

If we finish bottom four, that wouldn’t be the end of the world if it means we get a good draft pick and young players get games under their belts.

We have to stop being Elevendon.

Agree with this, however would also love Roberts in for Hind. There’s nothing wrong with a 2023 draftee coming in now and playing a few matches. Windsor, McKercher, Reid, Sanders all playing weekly.

Yeah I don’t understand the don’t bring them in now because it will hurt their development, if a couple of AFL games hurts their development they probably won’t make it anyway.

we are slow but that can be fixed with 3 quick players.
tsatas is one of them. shiel in a few weeks if he can get fit will provide some speed. I’d start cycling a davey each week and roberts through the team - one at a time - to provide them with a clear indication of the gap they need to cross to get to AFL standard, and to provide some youth and enthusiasm.

OUT perkins menzie hind goldy
IN tsatas durham alwyn davey jr bryan

goldy plays anzac day (unless bryan plays a few blinders) but I’d give him a game off between now and then

these changes will fix one problem, but there are plenty of other reasons we will stay a 50/50 team - poor kicking, tackling, best young talent still injured +

I agree with you, but it is just a matter of timing. Our poor VFL schedule has really compromised the first month of development for our VFL players.

The WB game will be particularly interesting for the response of this playing group after a bad loss.

This list has a habit of really dropping their heads after a thrashing and it often finds a way to derail the next few games as well.

Usually we get results like last night in July and August as the season is coming to a close and the playing group have mentally ‘checked out’ as they prepare for their annual trip to Spain, Croatia or wherever the ■■■■ they go.

In April though? Let’s see what they’ve got…

Agree with the Goldy and Bryan swap.
Two marks between he and Draper is poor.
Although Bryan didn’t take a mark last week
The other changes are spot on although I’d be tempted to bring in Hayes too

It will not happen but Scott needs to make a statement.

Drop the players who are going nowhere and play those who may have some potential. No idea who they are, but there are at least ten who didn’t put in last night.
