Speculation about changes for Dream Time v The Tigs

Has the club said how he is tracking?

Then we have Hurley, Hooker, Ambrose and Francis in defense. When Richmond play with Lynch, Caddy and a trillion small forwards.

The perfect defeatist.

On weekend was Lynch, Balta (fwd/ruck) & Caddy. With Soldo ruck, & obviously Dusty switching with Caddy over course of the game. Plus smalls.

So the Hooker, Ambrose & Hurley trio is def enough. And certainly can’t be moving Francis back nor bringing Ridley in.

Last Tuesday they said Mitch has a specialist appointment later last week and should be available for dreamtime. No update since then though.

Hard to get motivated for this game. Which makes the Carlton game even worse

Agreed. Our last chance to get into the 8 disappears this week.

They’re playing well but they’re gettable. The Bulldogs turned them over just 2 weeks ago, albeit at Marvel.

We’re going to say this before every game though, aren’t we?

bltn seems to love Balta, Butler and Bolton.

My concern with his “play the quick smalls” approach is that it is copying the Tiges at something they are probably better at doing. Fair enough in defence to nullify the opposition, but shouldn’t we stretch them forward by playing talls?

Which will work if our talls take marks. If the ball hits the deck they’ll come screaming out of our backline. Night game - possible dewy wet ball won’t help.

No. We will not make the 8 this year. Final.

I’m not looking forward to this game. It could become a train wreck. Or we could smash them such is our form this year.

I’m happier for the fact that we got the win verse Freo and there won’t be plenty of padding on the back going into Dreamtime.

We play better with a point to prove

Pretty confident about this one, We will click in this game and win. The following week is a worry.

People who are saying we should bring in Brown for any small player are incredibly dumb. We were too tall and slow on Saturday, and Richmond have one of the most mobile and dynamic teams in the league.

If Brown comes in, which i’m not opposed to, it needs to be for Francis. We are not going to drop Daniher, Stringer, Hooker, Hurley or Ambrose. Or Brown doesn’t play this week. We will get killed at the MCG, if we get any bigger/slower.

And if Worsfold selects Myers this week, he will be exhibiting a level of ineptitude that I didn’t think was possible for him. And that is saying a lot…

If Brown comes in its for Francis.
Personally I would prefer to play Brown and McKernan in the VFL and give them 1 game there for touch.

Key Matchups
Astbury vs Daniher
Grimes vs Stringer
Garthwaite vs Francis

Lynch vs Hooker
Balta vs Ambrose
Caddy vs Hurley
Dusty vs Redman
Castagna/Baker vs McKenna/McNeice
Saad vs Rioli

Mids
Prestia/Lambert/HigginsEllis/McIntosh/Dusty
on paper we got them covered
Shiel/Merrett/Heppell/Zaharakis/Parish/Langford/Stringer
Soldo/Belly i would give Big bell the edge.

with Reiwoldt out, I would consider putting Hooker Forward Francis back…but that might change mid game if Worsfold pulls the switch

Would love to see a Mosquito vs Stack matchup. And Edwards vs Tippa

If we lose this game its on the turnovers.

If Francis starts well they may shift Balta back to defence.

Out Essendon players…
In Geelong or GWS wearing Black and red.

Tis the only way we can get close im afraid. Miracle required. Maybe give ScoMo a call for some tips?

Pretty simple.

Get Clive Palmer to buy some billboards around Punt Road:

“ Dimma’s Big fat retirement tax is going to cut your earnings in half. Stop playing for the team and start playing for yourself”

“Forward line pressure is a leftist myth. Why should forwards bother with pressure acts if the defenders and midfielders aren’t already pulling their weight?”

No, at some point it will not be mathematically possible to make the 8, so this will not be required.
