If Roberts is to debut then he really should start on the ground. Old fashioned courtesy and recognition of the work done to get there. Please do not let him debut as a sub.

Never said he’s totally gone.
It was poor drafting to select another inside mid.
The selection is saying, Merrett, Parish, Caldwell, Durham, Shiel, Hobbs and until this weekend Perkins are all ahead of you, even Stringer with his inside time.
Yeah, if he did ask for trade it would speak about his attitude to fight for a place.
However, if Richmond come knocking where you know you will play every game, it be worth considering.
Let me tell you something about top draft picks with egos, they ain’t like travelling to sh1thole VFL grounds to play there trade.

Yep, and what makes it worse is we have a full compliment of ■■■■ players to bring in 
2 of the guys you listed are cooked and likely not here next year, and merrett will be out of CBAs sooner rather than later
Again, he knows what his deficiencies are and what he needs to improve. He’s doing that, and if/when he does he will clearly be a first string mid

Ideally … Few ways to cut it and depends if he does retain Heppell on the IC (I wouldn’t)…But with Ridley out, Lav back deep, then Redman moves into a KPD role so Martin is sorta needed at HB still. And Roberts has been playing wing in the VFL.

Will be interesting to see how the backline functions without Rids this week. We’re 7-3 without him, and 3-6 with him this year. Is probably a coincidence, but i do think MaKay was playing a lot better when Rids wasn’t there.
