The forward line is conjested with him in it.
Draper can’t ruck on his own. Some posters are saying put Cox or Jones in the ruck but we’re more likely to fail with them (especially against someone like Marshall). So 2MP plays instead of Goldy.
2MP in the forward line creates problems. So we have to adjust accordingly for that (we’ve already pushed Jones up to the wing so Caddy could get games).
We have a rock-paper-scissors problem.
No matter which way we go, it brings about problems elsewhere. And what works one week, may not work the next week.
To me, it’s felt like we’ve tried to name the top 23 players and crammed them all somewhere. It started when Ridley came back.
We’ve rarely had a full list through pre-season or during season to know what our ‘best 23’ actually is. So we’re trying to figure it out during the season.

No way.
I wonder whether Alwyn Davey Jnr gets a recall. It was obvious at the game yesterday that our forwardline looked treacle slow and just didn’t apply any pressure. We need some wheels in there and I can’t think of anyone other than him who has the required pace.

There is no excuse for keeping Heppell (amoungst others) on the list and moving ADambrosio on the Hawthorn. He was clearly a very good kick (probably our best). Its ■■■■■■■ unforgivable and someone needs to own up to it because this is an inherent issue in our club. Dumb recruitment = dumb players

Because the coach didn’t rate him.
Astute decision by Massimo too. He’d be playing as a key forward in the VFL.

Your accuracy for choosing which thread to express those insights is about as good as Draper, Langford and Caddy in the last ten minutes of last night’s game.
