Changes v Weagles

And he certainly wasn’t flying solo in those first couple of games.

Very clever

Don’t know where to post this but patty voss ended vlaustin.

Karma after him diving against us in Darwin

I’d like to see 2MP in if for no other reason but to help take the pressure/focus off Caddy so that he doesn’t have to have ■■■■■■ like May on him week in week out.

From the VFL practice game v Hawks -

“the Bombers were able to bring back key forward Peter Wright for his return from injury, with the big man slotting three goals and looking in good touch.”
2MP getting a game in & kicking 3…

Todd Goldstein ’s presence in the ruck also created good opportunity for midfielders”
Sounds like Todd is our back up ruck with Vigo too far behind in development

I can imagine BDB pulling his hair out over who to pick for next week

Then he brings in both 2MP AND Goldy.
For Bryan and Jones
Goldy to replace Bryan as main ruck
Draper back to full forward and ruck relief.

Considering Jones’ output this season he Wright couldn’t be much worse.

Yea I mean Sheil was so terrible
Got to drop him, because he is old

Think its likely only Goldy in for Bryza for the WCE trip.
Harry should be given a full stint up forward to make his case before AZ Day at least … other than a decent performance he might make way for 2MP for that big game.

Its crucial Draper now stays fit for as long as possible for any half decent Essendon season.

Wright has only had 1 VFL practice match back from injury, I don’t think that’s enough to be ready for an AFL game. May not have even rucked at all in it either.

He needs to be cherry ripe fitness and confidence wise with his marking touch back

The only consideration on a maybe is it is ONLY West Coast and could be a confidence boosting game

In saying that I still don’t think now is the time, Goldy in the last VFL proper game had 25 disposals and 45 hit outs. He’s in form and West Coast don’t have a top line ruck anyway.

Given we had a good win & the mids who he might replace played well there is no pressing need to bring Tsatas up yet, who has now had 3wks of no footy, he can come back via VFL and regain his touch & get confidence in his hand.

Hawks get Rowell.
Pies get Petracca
Cats get Oliver

The exact issue is Shiel isnt bad, he just isn’t good.

We are seemingly in a never ending cycle with Shiel. He starts the season on the outer as we prioritise younger players. We get some injuries, and Shiel gets a run in the midfield. He plays well, and doesn’t leave the midfield for the rest of year.

We end the season on 11th and we repeat the cycle

if we didnt have Shiel, Tsatas would have played.

No.
And No.

This VFL stupidity is now impacting Essendon badly. How can you effectively choose a replacement player when your secondary list hasn’t played in consecutive weeks?

Maybe we just bring in Tsatas for Bryan, go shorter, and let Jones fluff around in the ruck to give Draper a rest.

After the last 2 weeks nobody deserves to be dropped. That is, I’d drop Jones but we’ve run out of forwards that are fit and have recent game time.
