You did see the Phillips role last year with Brad Scott, right?
He played just about every week.
Youâve managed to side step the fact that one of Draper or Goldy would replace Wright at deep forward. With Caddy, Langford, Stringer and Jones also in our forward line we have plenty of tall options. Your argument that Wright must be in our forward line doesnât add up for me.
I think 2mp is dropped for Goldy this week. Caddy needs a run at it and did enough to keep his spot. Might also put fire back into 2MP, heâs been horrid since his suspension.
I also suspect that danger will get off tonight, and Redman will get a week.
Cant see Danger getting off. Walshs head was smashed to the ground and had his arms pinned where he couldnt brace him self.
If he does get off then the whole sling tackle ban is farked.
Jones copped a week for far less
The only issue is we didnât appeal.
If Danger gets off well, Essendon legal team have a lot of explaining to do.
Iâve been expecting Redman to get cited but it hasnât happened. Would have come out last night if he was going to be surely?
Yes for sure.
100% disposal efficiency against Suns
Iâd be pretty shocked with how violently Walshâs head hit the turf, thats the exact motion and look the AFL are trying to stamp our regardless of any other factors
Goldy in the ruck releases Draper forward. This makes it hard for oppo to cover Wright. Which then makes it harder to cover Langford and Stringer. Well, thatâs the theory anyway.
Hawkins has had trouble with his movement.
How about the boys kick his hole in for him to help with his movements.
Soft â â â â !
Hawkins out for the Cats probably helps them - theyâll bring Neale in who is more mobile and taller I think.
McKay will need to go to him?
Out: Menzie Kelly (both omitted).
In: Gresham, Goldy
McG McKay Lav
Redman Ridley Martin
Duursma Merrett Cox
Jones 2MP Guelfi
Stringer Langford Gresham
Draper Durham Caldwell
IC: Goldy Heppell Perkins Caddy
Sub: Hind
Emergencies: Roberts, ADJ, Hobbs
Iâm assuming Cox and Guelfi will be OK to go.
Scott âsaysâ heâll be playing 2 rucks, but he wonât be leaving big Peter out, unless maybe because its a deluge on Sat night.
I had to pause before choosing the sub, nearly shuffled Archie into the sub role rather than Nick H.
But then it also makes it easier for the opposition to move it out of our fifty and into theirs which has been our Achilles heal
The media sinking the boot into Geelong isnât a great thing for us
but Draper is a better ruckman than Forward.
Probably. I think Lav on Ollie Henry, Ridley on Cameron and McKay on Neale if he plays is probably the starting point.
Neale sounds like a Giant, is he any good?
I think heâll be more than handy at some point, but not just yet.
