Changes vs Cats

Despite being strong, and showing great intercept work, Baldwin hasn’t really shown much as far as one-on-one defending goes.

Hawkins would be a big, big ask.

Geelong managing dudes. Let’s get these cocky baastards.

Yes. They’re listening to the members. At last.

I really hope that we put some time into 35 and 26 from the cats. I know they’re not household names but they really got a hold of us in round seven.

How about someone gets into Hawkins for the whole game. Rough him up. Laverde and Voss given the job. Like a Grand Final. Go after him all day. Let’s find out.

Late change: out Ridley, in Cox.

Maybe they’ll start him on the backline in place of Rids and bring in Voss.

Has Voss all of a sudden become a key defender?
Wow.
The Voss Legend just grows…

Who do you imagine we have that can rough Hawkins up worse than he can rough them up?

Looks like it’s going to be wet too, so that might dictate who the sub is

Voss is the answer.
He’s so powerful and aggressive, the rain drops get out of his way.

The last time we played GMHBA in the wet, half our team slipped over every time they tried to accelerate or turn. It was abominable.

Cox tends to prefer wet conditions

only Tuohy managed the rest are really omitted.

Ratagolea got smashed by Weideman last time.

I reckon what he needs to show, is his influence around the ground. Tap work… meh… it’s not as important as a lot think. Today’s ruckmen need to use their height and marking to influence the contest. I’d be happy with him not winning a tap, as long as he is taking outlet marks on the wing or in the f50.

Bryan will be hitting wright with lace out passes from the middle after he roves his first ruck contest.

I would also accept this.

Why not? Ask Laverde?

I’ve watched enough training and enough BFL games to know, Voss is not suited to a key position defensive role.
