They always get the jump on us, get 3 or 4 goals up before we decide to turn up, we make a mini comeback only to lose by that same margin. Enough!

Walla, ADJ & Tex in this week please.
Make it happen BDB.
Run riot fellas. Munny watch this because it will become yours very soon.

I really want to win this game. It may be the best chance we’ve had in recent times.

But I’d rather lose and play at least a reasonable representation of our indigenous players. Last year was an absolute embarrassment.

It’s a long way out, and pretty speculative at this time, but it’s looking like like light drizzle, or possibly even clear for the game.

Brad’s honeymoon will be well and truly over if we go missing against Richmond. Anything less than a 4 qtr win is unnacceptable.

This team needs to grow a pair once and for all.

Had a bloody gut full of Essington. Enough is enough.

Expecting this is just setting yourself up for needless disappointment.

Cotchin has been pretty ordinary in the midfield lately IMO, and I’ve been critical of him there for a couple of years. But he looked dangerous in the forward line last week. I don’t think he can be ignored there.

Bolton’s 100th game. In Dreamtime.

Yay. Nothing disastrous about that, is there…

(Edit: and Vlaustin’s 200th, who has usually killed us too)

Richmond have been pretty ordinary in most games and beating Geelong was one out of the box. If we select a team of goers and we play four proper quarters I think we can knock them off. If we get back Ridley, Kelly and Parish we’ll definitely be much stronger, and if the selectors are sensible and drop Davey for Snelling then we’ll get some real forward line pressure.

I agree with your posts more often than most on here, but then you come up with something stupid like that.

The only way to beat Richmond is by getting first to the ball and outnumbering them at every contest. Send them out with the intention of smashing Bolton is an absolute sure-fire way to lose. You win games by targeting the ball, not the man. Even most idiots know that.

The one that will break me will be if Taranto starts kicking like Bailey Dale (aka…55m lazers)

I’ve seen this movie before, in fact I watch it every year.

Here’s the preview to this years upcoming new release: (spoiler alert)

“After an ordinary first half, Essendon kicked the first two goals of the third qtr to reduce the margin to 10 points at the 10 min mark and the 90 thousand strong crowd thought it was game on, however steadying goals to Bolton, Martin, Riewoldt( dubious push in back free) and Bolton again, had seen Richmond bury the game by the 20 min mark. Despite strong words from Scott at 3/4 time for his troops to raise an effort, the last qtr saw Essendon kick 1 goal to Richmond’s 3”

Essendon 7.8.50 V Rich 14.12.96
