We haven’t been that bad. Wasted chances for sure but not bad. If we don’t turn up then sure West Coast win and win easily; I’m just not inclined to think that our players will be complacent.
West Coast have won 1 of their last 25 ‘away’ games - by 7 points vs WB last season.
Average losing margin in those other 24 games? 58 points.
Essendon have won 14 of their last 17 games at Marvel by an average of 23 points.

In fairness, it was his roughie for the round and he said could McGovern and Barrass strangle our scoring on an out of form Wright and Langford.

Only way I see us losing is if the forwards soil the bed and we end up kicking 8.21 or something ■■■■■. As @CmPerfect mentioned in his v handy training report, it still seems the old “kicking straight wins games” idea hasn’t clicked back into gear with our fellas.

Sunday 1pm game VS bottom side coming off a bye. I know this script:
Get ready for an error-ridden, poorly umpired game where we get off to a particularly bad start and look flat from the outset. Eventually we reign in west coasts lead after a purple patch of 7 or so goals, but then we inexplicably turn bad again, allowing West Coast to again take the lead close to the end of the game, but then just as inexplicably as before, we somehow sneak home off the back of one or two of the scrappiest goals you’ll ever see.
Dons by 3 or 7 points.
