Changes vs Eagles

Yes indeed.

7 news just said Stringer went in for scans because he’s still sore from Anzac Day but they still expect him to play.

Are Ch7 sponsored by Makita?

I’m a bit worried about this game.

FFS. Good job Essendon, great training venue.

Given that VFLW and AFLW barely play games at the MCG, I doubt it’s an issue.
AFL training hasn’t been held at night in more than two decades.

It isn’t something that’s high on the ā€˜FFS Essendon’ ometer…

Forward 50 pressure that we displayed against doggies and Adelaide needs to return.

Only 2 inside 50 tackles against the pies… yikes

Will be Kelly and Cox

Decent odds for the Eagles

?
They train during the day

And rightly so.
We were one lucky unpaid free kick from losing to Adelaide, and we had a draw with the pies.
Had we ended up on the wrong side of those games, things would be pretty grim around here and we would not be favourites against the Eagles considering their recent form.

Lot of overconfident folk on this one.

Wouldn’t mind an unchanged line-up either

But if we’ve an eye to the Giants game week after, then it just might be an idea to rest a few of the more battered bodies. . without hurting our chances too much this Sat in Perth of course.

A further option is Archie Roberts debuts for Hind. But whatever they think best, for my 23:

Out: Stringer, Duursma, Goldy/Draper, Heppell (all managed)
In: Perkins, Guelfi, Bryan, Shiel (sub)

B: Kelly McKay McG
HB: Redman Lav Martin
C: Cox Merrett Hind/Roberts
HF: Perkins 2MP Guelfi
F: Jones Langford Gresham

R: Goldy/Draper Durham Parish

IC: Caldwell Hobbs ADJ Bryan
Sub: Shiel

Bombers.

Can i come too?

Not a lot of over confident folk around here, or anywhere else if Blitz is anything to go by. Last week was a test, this week is a test, next week is a test, every week is a test, a searching examination of skills, game plan and resolve. There is no need to rewrite history with what ifs, the results are in and we move forward, one match at a time.

I can’t see Stringer or McKay being rested for this game. I can’t see Weideman playing AFL footy this year (other than through injury) at all!

I love a redemption story as much as anyone, and I’d love to see Wiedemann get back to something like his best form and get a game, but he seems unable to hang onto a mark in the twos so he’s zero chance at the moment. His chance will come if he regains form and we cop a run of injuries, neither of which has happened.
