50:50 game!? No way. Just fell in against Adelaide says this team is cooked. It would be a miracle if they got within 4 goals even without Toby Green
We are a chance to surpsie and play a different brand after embarrassing loss.
McKenna forward is a good idea, but imagine he will still spend time in the back half too.
must give stewart another chance against old mob, even though he was poor.
In: McKernan, McKenna, Mosquito(ten goal loss last week Mosquito was promised) Hooker, Langford, Guelfi
Out: Bellchambers, Gleeson, Cahill, Zerk-Thatcher, Towner, Ham
Rush Hooker back in, he loves playing against the giants
B: Saad Hooker Hurley
Hb: Francis Ridley Redman
C: Cutler Parish Guelfi
Hf: McDonald-Tipungwuti McKernan McKenna
F; Mosquito Stewart Langford
R: Draper Shiel McGrath
Int: Merrett, Smith, Zaharakis, Snelling,
Emg: Zerk-Thatcher, Big Boi Begley, Phillips
*Guelfi in to tag whitfield. Ham managed
Hookerās injured.
Could make a quick recovery from calf, been 2 weeks already (and was only minor injury).
If he is out then Zerk has to stay in
31y/o KPD with history of soft tissue injuries returns from a calf after only two weeks eh?
Iāll have what youāre havinā¦
There is no match up for Hooker vs GWS anyway
They arenāt playing any really big kpf or fwd/ruck
Cameron, Himmelberg & Finlayson are far too mobile
could play on Finlayson
Zerk on Finlayson
Francis on Cameron
Hurley on Himmleberg
Itāll get really ugly this week. Whitfield, Williams, Kelly, Coniglio and Taranto all in good form. Their run and spread from stoppages is the scariest thought. Could be a huge belting.
Whitfield - Guelfi tag
Kelly - McGrath
Coniglio - Shiel
Taranto - Parish
Williams - Merrett
Draper give us first hands on it from the stoppage again, need mids perform better and hit some targets up forward.
Himmelberg is in pretty good form out of their big forwards.
Finlayson is lacking a bit of touch.
Zerk could be an option for him, but thatās mainly because I donāt want him taking the other two.
Iām not sure who put on Cameron.
If Ambrose was fit, it would almost certainly be him.
Hurley seems more suited to Himmelberg, and Iām not sure Francis can run with Cameron who is getting a long way up the ground.
Can anyone see us playing Ridley on Cameron.
The negative being he would be out of our defensive fifty regularly.
Just spit balling the match ups in my head.
Redman needs to go. Has been awful this year. Have zero confidence in him.
So thankful Toby Greene got injured. Wouldāve been funny if Redman played on him, couldāve kicked 10.
Francis is a great match up for Cameron imho (fitness permitting). Heās the only guy weāve got who has a fraction of the explosiveness necessary to keep up with him on the lead.
Hurley to Himmleberg.
BZT to Finlayson.
Iām warming to the idea of McKenna forward also, for a few reasons:
- He couldnāt do any worse that our current mob and at best is a very scary potential matchup.
- As brilliant as he is his brain fades can cost us, and brain fades are generally better had a long way from opposition goals.
- While we would miss his run from defence, we also kind of need to move past him anyway. We just have to learn how to break through a press with out heroics from Saad and McKenna.
Yeah nah.
Cameron would blow him up.
Francis would be lucky to play this week given his effort last Friday. Let alone playing on the oppositions best forward (now that Greene is unavailable)
At least McKenna is fired up for the game this week.
Oh wait. No, itās just Call of Duty
Im with you.
Gutted.
Guess as one of my only outlets to give me some external joy,its now compounding my sadness.
Iām the same with McKenna, canāt hurt to try. I would actually start tippa on the half back flank in his place for the run, carry and ball use
Feel for Gleeson but heās half the player he was pre ankle injury.
So Gleeson out, McKenna in.
Langford and McKernan also in, Iād do it for Zaka and t bell but no doubt itāll be Cahill and someone else
Agree tippa is the barometer, he needs to be involved early and is one of best uses of the ball. The coaches persist with starting him forward where he is staved of the ballā¦FFS, and then when itās the third qtr and we are down by twenty, decide to make a move
Another slaughter-fest coming up. Snakes and ladders sitting on 10th about to slide further down the slippery slide. Hope the draft picks are good this year.
