Hes 21 and has only played 6 games, you shouldn’t have expected anything from him in his first handful of games as a 19-20 year old and he probably wont peak until hes in his late 20s.

Bryan has played well as a knock ruckman (45+) these last two weeks but having little impact around the ground. Phillips is doing better although the previous 2 weeks were not good. Loved his determination even at ground level and that puts him ahead of Bryan at the moment.

Effectively getting a game because we have no one else tall enough and certainly not getting a game because he’s killing it in the VFL!

He gets monstered at AFL level, he’s not ready and i doubt he will be for another 2 years. I didn’t dismiss his VFL form, which is good

No Anabelle, I don’t think Heppell is a given every week but he’s done well the last few weeks and should keep his place, especially since we have so many players down. I think this could be his last season and as a warrior of the club we shouldn’t just throw a loyal ex-captain in the trash can. He’s not holding a better or even equal player back but don’t dump him for someone who is not playing as well as he is.
