Changes vs Lions

This particular fixture is the last game of the season where the mountain looks like being a bit too high for us to climb. A performance like today and a 3-4 goal loss would be an exceptional result.

Every other game on the fixture for the remainder of the year looks like we will either start as favourites or at the very worst, be moderately ‘winnable’ for us. Even considering hoodoos etc.

I don’t think any club is going to experience a tougher 5 game stretch than what we have had to endure. And the best thing? We are only 1 game away from it ending.

Do your best Dons.

His strength is playing as a BBM, but he was stuck on the wing. It didn’t work so well when he was at the Blooos, and didn’t work today either. He needed to go into the centre after half time, and his absence from being part of the rotation was bewlidering and cost us drive when PA were getting on top.

Serviceable and we’ll are very different.

He is not in our best 22 and more so directs out on the field than competes.

Who said anything about trash can, should guide and mentored in the seconds

I dont hate Phillips, but i cant understand the defence of him. He hasnt done alot bar an occasional mark and frees up Dtaper. But surely Bryan should be tried because im sure he will provide atvthevvery least the same oitput, but may well be a huge upgrade. And hes the future.

If he isn’t playing regular seniors before 2 years he will be gone. There are other clubs looking at him and can offer him game time

If he is playing like a soft ■■■■ than he doesn’t get a gig

Expect us to drop a few winnable games against lesser sides. I am thinking either a North Melbourne or Freo.

Ins: Anyone tall
Outs: Anyone not tall

Too big of an ask to win next week not entirely unhappy being 4-5 after round 9 after playing 5 great sides in a row.
We should take the opportunity to rest a couple of guys to load up against the tigers.

McGrath BZT Montgomery
Hind Baldwin Redman
Heppell setterfield Durham
Shiel Voss Langford
Bryan weideman Menzie
Phillips Hobbs Merrett
Tippa Kelly Caldwell Snelling
Sub. Wanganeen

In. Montgomery Voss Bryan Durham wanganeen Snelling

Out Ridley ( assualted) Perkins stringer parish draper ( all rested)
Davey jnr

Save reid for Dreamtime

What has been pleasing is that we aren’t getting on the receiving end of 10 goal smashings unlike previous seasons. Defensively we are more sound but the lack of depth in our list is really hurting us at the moment. If we are able to even be competitive against the Lions, that’ll be almost enough for me.

No one should be rested we pick the best avaible team and try to win

Stinger has been in good form why upset that by resting him

The good news is after this weekend we’ve played the top 6

Baldwin cannot defend.

We were missing a tall in the backline with Ridley, so just replacing him with Reid still leaves us with that problem.

Lions have Joe, Hipwood and Gunston. You can’t be leaving Gunston to Kelly, as there are some legit small matchups that we need Kelly for.

So it’s gotta be Reid and Baldwin (forward), if we need Langford back, or even bring in Monty.

Or bring them all in. We’re too short.
