Changes vs North

It wasn’t there. It was literally a slit second late.

Even if it was on time. It’s in the back and Toby is having a shot from the spot of the infringement.

Laverde will be dropped at some stage. Maybe not this week but it’s pretty clear Reid is viewed as best 22 and a future pillar in defence. He needs to come in and laverde is really the only player that makes sense

Considering Draper is a bit of an unknown, at what point do we give Goldstein a rest to manage his minutes? At the very least, when do we ask him to only play half a game in the ruck? The next 2 weeks seems as good a time as any for the year. The last thing we want is to fade late in the year (again) because we went all-in on the first 16 weeks.

What’s this about?

Scott said no injuries in his presser. Given Scott’s history Guelfi out for the year.

He went off late and got the physio working on him. Would have been cramp/ get the blood flowing more than injury.

Yep. Saw the trainers give him a few of those pickle juice bottles to help with the cramps.

We can’t rest Goldy this week.
I want Bryan to get a go more than most, but Xerri would likely eat him alive. Having a pretty underrated season given North is trash.

The question Brad and coaches will ask is if we make some ‘managed’ changes (e.g. Caddy and Bryan in for say Stringer and Goldy) do we risk sending the wrong message to the group and have them think this will be a cakewalk?

Legitimately after a performance like that you wouldn’t change anyone and keep those playing VFL proper dog hungry for that chance to break into the side…which in the long term may serve us better.

Hell will freeze over this week before Goldy misses this week. Absolutely no chance he misses against his old side.
He will play the next 2 weeks then be managed against the gold coast to freshen up for the bloos the week after

Long season, wouldn’t be the worst thing to rest a player or two. A Heppell, Stringer or Parish might benefit from a refresh. I’d say McKay and Goldstein but they’d love to get a big win against their old mob.
Haven’t had a debutant this year, Tsatas chomping at the bit and what better way to bring Reid back in to get back into the groove with the back six?

LAV won’t be dropped based on today’s game.
His defending and positioning was very good.
He was reasonable last week also on one of the most in form forwards in the game.

We don’t need to rush anyone in after medium/long term injuries, nor should we.

What IF Jayden was already in vs Giants… Wearing Alwyn’s number… would we know?

If Goldy hadn’t played today we would have been in real trouble.

No changes for mine…….

But if Brad has a different opinion…… then what Brad wants Brad gets……

Goldy was massive. I hope Draper took notes.

Coming off tonights win I really hope we dont put in a sloppy performance against the roos.

If we are at manage players time of the season i’d like to see Tsatsas get a run and maybe a debut from Jayden D.

Agree no change to the Rucks. I think Draper will come back in the week.after.

Be good to see Reid and Ridley play next to each other in the twos to build some connection for a week.

Wouldn’t be tinkering too much with the squad at all at this point.

Tracking beautifully at the minute.
