Changes vs Pies Anzac Day

Watch them (media/their muppet fans) applauding De Goey’s “ANZAC spirit” next week when he plays well after having “the runs” this week.

It’s enough to make me have the runs out of my mouth. :face_vomiting:

Plenty would agree with that :joy:

This is the thing with Heppell and his age. When he does lift and pulls his finger out, it gets injured.

Sort of easy now isn’t it? Everyone who throws a player down head-first is getting suspended. Don’t do it.

He could have added, " There’s been a lot of cases in the last few weeks of players not getting done for similar incidents so it would be great to get a little bit of clarification." - Andrew McGrath

David King.

You’ve gotta have one or the other, or a mix of the two. At the moment they only have one.

Interesting on 360 how they said the ‘come forward’ defence works against Collingwood.

Fagan said as much the other week.

This makes a lot of sense… We played this way last year and pushed Collingwood twice even though we were bottom 4 and they were top 4.

Now we aren’t playing this way, we are dropping back. Pies could cut us up.

Trying to say you can’t be down on both areas of defending, which we were last year.

Be great at one or be avg in both, can’t be poor in both

Lloyd just tipped Pies to win. Thinks Pies are too good.

Annoying how Eddie thinks they’ve got SO many out and acts like we’ve got none.

Would love to see the pies without the top 3 BnF from the previous season.

This was about the Crows but check out the performance of Essendon

In the other sense, you could argue that the way to beat Essendon is through smothering defence that makes it difficult for Essendon to have a free flowing game.

Like the Saints.

Collingwood don’t play that type of game. IMO anyway.

I do!! We’re consistently winning quarters! Just need to consistently perform in those first quarters.

How’d they go for the other games? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

FWIW the saints poor disposal probably lead to a lot of those.

Edit - additionally, from the previous games, the criticism that I’ve seen about the Pies is they overly commit to the forward press. That leaves them vulnerable to the turnover.
