I don’t think we get anything genuine out of him when he discusses his old club.

If I want negativity, I would just read Blitz or re-read my own posts.

I want something a little more optimistic from an ex-champion.

"Time on"used to mean something. It doesn’t really any more. I presume they count everything after the 20 minute mark as time on. So about the last third of a quarter. Meh. Honestly, how many goals you concede in the last third of the quarter would be more interesting.

Looks like Jones & Weideman will be OK to play, and with Voss banging down the door we have a few big man options up forward… I feel like Draper & Phillips will dominate Frampton in the ruck also - so we go into this game with a pretty decent advantage in the big man stakes.
The stupid tackling rule means we lose Merrett - and he is a loss for sure - but they are without Taylor Adams courtesy of the same rule - and he has been in top form so it kind of evens that out.
We are certainly getting the Pies at a good time as they have injuries to more starting 22 players than us - they will miss 5 - Howe, Murphy, Lipinski, Cox & Cameron, while we are only really missing 2 - Guelfi & 2MP

So you want to either censor his opinion, or you consider his opinion to be fake, even though you say he is knowledgeable. His book was called Straight Shooter and that is all I would want from him, be he discussing Essendon or any other team. Or as Polonius said to Hamlet, “To thine own self be true.”

watched Kingy and montagna discuss our back 6, and how we have done well 1-1’s, and backing off the guy with the ball and covering the long kick out the back and intercepting.

Think we may see pies having to either slow ball movement and hit up targets to small forwards, or be having shots from 50 on the run. Midfield will need to chase and provide defensive movement to pies ball carrier too.

And Nathan Kreuger played VFL today so they have another near 200cm player available there too.

That would be bold. He has had some shocking shoulder injuries and I’m pretty that was his first game back.

Looks like they are being bold then Odoyle.

All the talk from their camp is he’s playing.

They really have very few other options.

Can you imagine this joint this time next week if we manage to get over the line on ANZAC Day?

There will be no “in between” for this game. It will either be ‘Chicken Little’ the sky is falling or pure jubilation.

maybe not the sky is falling, but on paper this is a game you should be winning.

there’s probably a couple i’m missing also.

the obviously still have enough talent, belief and system to cause trouble no doubt, but this is a game were you should be putting them to the sword if you want to be taken seriously.

again it’s not as easy as winning on paper, and they did just beat the hardest working side that we lost too a couple of weeks ago.

but i reckon they should be winning this game and believe they are winning it and anything less is a pretty severe let down on what they’ve been able to achieve so far this season.
