Changes vs the Orange Team again

If there’s one thing I’d pay the Time Machine man for, it’s to go back to the top deck of the G for the round 22 Hawthorn game 2009. But we might get it for free.

How much has he been in the Ruck since his busted shoulder. I’ve seen him in there a bit, but i’m not sure lining up for 20+ would be ideal. I might be over thinking it though.

I think this is the very first of the many false dawns we’ve had in the past 15 years

Couldn’t disagree more. He’s the best defensive mid we have. With Setters at stoppages including Centre clearances you rarely saw the opposition mid getting out the front.

He’s a straight back in for me after just the 1 VFL game. Would be even more guaranteed if the VFL team had played this week…

Close to the mark. Was going to check if he had good medical coverage.

WE play Giants and Pies.
Cats play Saints and Dogs, so can upset the top 8.
Saints plays Cats and Brisbane

Giants is a elimination final this week, I think we can win this game.
Essendon Friday night versus pies, chance to make Finals, might draw 90,000 to the MCG
AFL would love it.
Pies about to be announced Minor Premiers.
Dogs play Eagles and Cats, so probably odds on to make the 8, if Cats have nothing to play for.

Swans have Crows in Adel + Melb at home…

We really need cats to win both.
Saints to lose both
Swans to lose one.
or Blues to lose both Suns & Giants, unlikely.

I think Saints are a lock…we’re looking to replace Sydney or pups in the 8

I know we are going to bring back stringer, but i just cant see how he will miraculously turn his season around and meaningfully contribute

They won’t drop both rucks and have Draper go solo after such a long break, and I doubt Setterfield has enough match conditioning either (timing of yet another VFL bye last weekend sucked).

Shiel has also missed plenty of footy, may not be 100% anyway, and I doubt he’d leapfrog Caldwell assuming he’s good to go after a week off (and was also really good against the Swans the week before that).

Out: Bryan, Kelly & Snelling (Cox sub)
In: Draper, Stringer & Caldwell

B: Baldwin BZT McGrath
HB: Redman Laverde Hind
C: Martin Merrett Durham
HF: Guelfi Wright Perkins
F: Stringer Langford Menzie
R: Draper Parish Caldwell

I/C: Phillips Hobbs Tsatas Heppell
Sub: Cox

Cox a bit unlucky tbh, as is Bryan. Kelly can be our travelling emg.

Just give Phillips one last job. Deck green so he goes off the ground and we win
