Itâs great to see the AWFUL losing control of the narrative. Theyâve tried to treat this exactly the same way they treated the Essendon players - silence them with legal threats and pay them to shut up whilst discrediting them through the media. These ex players arenât being bought off. Itâs deeper than that. Itâs their DNA. Their pride. Their families. Itâs not for sale.

As to point 14, Faganâs statement recorded that he was not a party to the agreement between the complainants, the investigation panel and the AFL, but he felt vindicated by it.

l would count it as ironic if Dawk supporters held up #standbycyril signs.
The irony being that opposition fans showing more support for former players than the Dawk supporters themselves. I urge anyone going to the game tomorrow to consider making and displaying #standbycyril signs.

Burt has just come out with a new one claiming yesterdayâs one was all BS and was all about $$$$$$
âJason has always been willing to meet with the complainants. The only thing he asked for before meeting with them was access to the Hawthorn documents that the lawyers for the complainants refused to release until late last week.
âThe allegations the complainants have made are wrong.â
âIt is simply not true that the complainants have not been seeking financial compensation,â
More cracks appearing in the case. Burt growing increasingly nervous and uneasy, as he has started running to the media now to tell his story.
The cracks at Cyril and his wife are nothing compared to what they will face in the coming weeks and months. That is why l say #standbycyril.
They are going to need plenty of help and support.
