That image looks Ai. Im not saying it is, it just doesn’t look real
Yeah. I cant really grasp whats transpired here.
Some parts of Valencia recorded over a year’s worth of rain in an 8 hour period.
thanks for sharing.
especially the bit about how non viable nuclear is, even without taking the hazardous waste problem into account.
well that was my reading, as well as the unfortunate event that some poor Blitzer up-screen has plastic balls.
I’d legit nerd out being involved in building a nuclear reactor in Aus. I’m just suffering from substantial PTSD with previous projects that struggled with quality focus and general skills of everyone involved. We have some elite people in Australia, but we have a lot of meh, which isn’t a good vibe to have on a nation’s first full scale nuclear project.
She’ll be right isn’t a good attitude when nuclear meltdown is on the cards.
And it looks like it didn’t stay mainly in the plain.
I’m not sure if it contributed, but Valencia shifted the river that once ran through the city and turned it into parkland.
Blame the river course shift on the Moors.
The river was diverted south of the city (where most of the damage was yesterday) after a flood in 1957.
Second hottest October in recorded history for Australia.
My recollection of Valencia was that the river course was diverted into a walking trail…and so often, heavy rain follows its natural course.
But no…two mention it first.
October registered an average temperature of 1.65C above the pre-industrial baseline making the last 17 months the warmest 17 months in Earth’s recorded history. I wonder if we will ever see temps dip below 1.5 again? Not looking good. Of course this will bring numerous tipping points into play (if they aren’t already) and all the ramifications that go with that.
And MotoGP organisers had to hurriedly reschedule the Valencia GP to Barcelona and now Barcelona is flooding. You can’t run.
With the Rs about to rip out all the environmental regs and start drilling I think we can safely say that we are ■■■■■■ now
I can’t bring myself to like this post, but it’s painfully true.
Biden/Harris left a LOT to desire, environmentally. Trump basically locks in climate failure. The scope of the catastrophe is hard to really grasp. My generation’s children will know … legit hunger. Famine, even in Australia. And the next generation- I can’t even begin to guess. My mind shies away from how bad it’s going to be.
I can’t “like” that either, but you are right.
