And now we’ve backed it up.

Two days in a row of 2+. Remember how worried people were about breaching 1.5.

And apparently add another 10 degrees of ‘felt’ experience, there will be a lot of unreported dead geriatrics and health compromised in their homes in Sth America. When it was 28 and still in Melbourne a week or so ago it felt much hotter, the sun was more like that intense Tassie sun, the piercing type that makes you imagine there is no ozone layer at all. It’s going to be filthy from here on out. 28 used to be pleasant.

I just hope Bomber1408 is ok, wherever he is, wherever he’s completely disappeared to.

He’ll be back to smoke-bomb post and then disappear in due course.

I’m fine mate.

A 2 degree increase out of a model was it? Compared to 1850 to 1900, just coming out of a mini ice age when only a small portion of the world had recording equipment. AND 1 town in the world gets a record high … wow the sky is falling.

Meanwhile the Artic Circle is still not ice free and most “predictions” still haven’t happened

Phew. Just glad you’re safe old plum, happy lurking.

Lols. If i were to post every city in the world that has broken an all-time heat record in the last 6 months, I’d break the character limit on this site. And I’ve lost count of the amount of floods. And to think, this is just a preview. Next year is gonna be wild.

It would need 6 goes at the guillotine to get through those chins and that iron rod that goes all the way up.

We need more women’s opinions in this thread.

It hasn’t been mentioned here yet, but Perth is in for a week of temperatures over 37oC. Today was forecast to be 40oC. Perth may get these heatwaves in late February or March but has afaik has never had one in November before.

We will always have records broken, & yes its unusual, but it its a weather event & not a climate change indicator unless this is happening in a lot more cities on a permanent basis …. which its not
