North Melbourne ruckman Daniel Currie will join the Gold Coast SUNS as part of a series of trades with the Kangaroos and Geelong.As part of the trade, Zac Smith will join Geelong, in exchange for draft selections 49 & 53, with the SUNS moving selection 53 to North Melbourne in exchange for Currie.
Effectively meaning the SUNS have traded Smith for Currie and selection 49.

That deal does not count towards their “getting deals done” reputation. They gave up 49 and 53. Those are the trades we get done. That’s why Giles and Edwards are on the list.
