Confirmed Trades Discussion Thread

This discussion was created from comments split from: Confirmed Trades, 2015..

North Melbourne ruckman Daniel Currie will join the Gold Coast SUNS as part of a series of trades with the Kangaroos and Geelong.

As part of the trade, Zac Smith will join Geelong, in exchange for draft selections 49 & 53, with the SUNS moving selection 53 to North Melbourne in exchange for Currie.

Effectively meaning the SUNS have traded Smith for Currie and selection 49.

What the hell? That’s way unders or am off the ball park?

Geelong showing how to get ■■■■ done.
Most people said they wouldn’t be able to get Henderson, Selwood and Dangerfield especially if Danger is via trade rather than free agency.
They’ve done all three and Zac Smith in the space of a week.

Great work.

So what is Dodoro missing in his negotiation strategy?

A strong set of knees?

It does make you wonder why trading is so hard for us when you watch clubs like Geelong and Hawthorn do it with such ease.

Big win for the Cats picking up Smith with those picks…agree, this is what the pro active and bold clubs do; no arseing around wasting other clubs time

That deal does not count towards their “getting deals done” reputation. They gave up 49 and 53. Those are the trades we get done. That’s why Giles and Edwards are on the list.

Perhaps Zac Smith isn’t as good as you all think he is.

Zac Smith doesn’t like coping hits in the body, he’s soft as butter

Was about to say. Sometimes things things are cheap for a reason.

We managed to land a crap ruckman last year, for about half the value, who cares?

Officially Stevie J deal done for 5th Round pick next year

Well based on this, surely Saints will give us a round 6 pick for Carlisle?

Melbourne FC ‏@melbournefc 42s42 seconds ago TRADE UPDATE: We've completed a trade with @GoldCoastSUNS IN: Picks 3,10 + 43 OUT: Pick 6, 29 + 2016 Rd1 pick

Dear Melbourne… why?

that trade ■■■■■ us.

that trade ■■■■■ us.

Not too sure it does, they can only take 1 player with it

they will take the top midfielder with it. most of the top 10 is talls. which we dont need.

In a move that already seems unpopular with the majority of Carlton supporters, forward Troy Menzel is headed back to South Australia in a trade for the Crows' pick No.28 and Sam Kerridge.

So Carlton get rid of yet another forward. The goal count from former Bloos next year will be interesting to watch.

Ooh, not a great trade there Blues. Although he is always injured.

Man, that makes Adelaide’s forward line even more dangerous if he is fit and up and and about.

DONE: Carlton's picks 28, 77 & 95 & Geelong's 2016 1st-Rd pick go to GWS for pick No.8, Plowman, Lamb, Phillips & Sumner.

what a weird trade for all involved.

fark carlton would want to hope Plowman was worth the effort!

Very weird trade. Do GWS even have the points to take their academy players?
