Ok Mr Goody 2shoes.

Haha. This is becoming the Blitz family recipe!

Good luck @Tezzalenco, you won’t regret it. My wife is making me make it again this weekend :grinning:

I’m sure it won’t be the last time I make it.

My only advice would be to brown the chicken thighs good and proper on one side at least. It took me longer on my stove than her instructions, but getting that colour made it delicious. Plus you can’t really overcook chicken thighs anyway.

Otherwise just do everything she says because the woman is a genius

One of many I want to try of hers after I finish this current lot of veggies I have is her baked pumpkin risotto. That looks excellent.

I’ve made it too and concur with the prevailing opinion.

I thought I’d post here rather than turning the game thread completely into a food thread. So last night I had Nagi’s pork tenderloin with mustard cream sauce, and tonight I’ll be having the leftovers, plus the final remains of a baked brisket (they don’t really go, but who cares?), with boiled carrots and a mixture of green beans and butter beans. With Seppelt Chalambar Shiraz, which doesn’t cost much but goes down a treat.

Did you like pork recipe? I thought it was the most tender pork tenderloin I’d ever eaten!

I agree re infiltrating the match thread so I’ll post first part of dinner here.

I was hungry and decided to cook the mussels early. They’re not filling, the bread is, but I think I’ll eat something else soon.

I also baked bread for the first time today.

The mussels and the bread both look fantastic. What sort of bread?

It was just this one here. As usual, if you follow what she says it comes out as expected.

Did you use a dutch oven?

It’s much quicker than sourdough

I used one of my Bessemer pots and lid. Unfortunately I don’t own a Dutch oven and I never got around to buying the Bessemer one before they went out of business.

Isn’t that a dutch oven? Even if it’s not technically, it keeps the moisture from the dough inside the pot, and it stops the loaf spreading too wide.
