But that should be common sense…ive had parents in nursing homes and i wouldnt go near the place if i was sick…and numerous times i wasnt allowed in due to sickness already in the nursing home.
Just goes to show how dumb people are…
Even today when out on my push bike i noticed people still touching each other when meeting…i saw a woman touch a child on the face it just bewilders me that people are not taking it on board what not to do

There are going to be some sad stories from this, families isolated from their elders innursing homes. Grandparents unable to sre grandchildren for months at a time.
Yep, … the Internet will be severely tested under the weight of Skype etc Video chatting with the isolated Elderly, … that’s for sure.
Katie’s just sent my work colleague a message launching their VIP night where they have stocks of face masks and hand sanitiser for their members at ridiculously inflated prices.
A clothing shop capatilising on the shortage of medical supplies and yet media report specialists are missing out on protective gear.
This thing is bringing out the best and worst of our kind.
My uncle in Portugal said his pharmacy is charging 8 Euros a mask.
He said he’s finding himself a new pharmacy.
Another possibility is that there’s validity to the idea that its a different mutation tearing through Europe.
I thought Italy, Spain and France would be highly susceptible because of the way they kiss each other in greeting.

Not long ago, say about a month, the Reject shop had hand sanitizer like that for $2 for three bottles, but just two days ago the chemist had one use face masks for $14.00 each.

Just realised the Balls could be a vector, … maybe a Can per player, all marked with diff colours, and only handled by that individual throughout the game, (delivered back by racquet feet etc only) is the only thing I can think off to counter that.

our premier came out and asked for all non essential travel to not happen
So of course we interfered and purchased two tins
Hopefully you made a significant profit out of her?
Expect all schools to shut from Monday. Teacher Unions are getting involved now. Everyone knows schools are incubators for diseases and illnesses - think of nits as a good example. The only reason you would be keeping schools open is if you wanted all the kids to get it.
That’s not true. The analogy of nits especially… but incubators of “all diseases and illnesses”? Are you from the Herald Sun?
I do expect the schools to shut, though.
Again, just earlier heard Gladys (NSW Prem) completely debunk the need for School Closures as totally unnecessary & that they wouldn’t be happening, & no plans to at this point
Berejiklian is asked about private schools which have already shut down in NSW . Their actions now run against the advice of federal and NSW governments. She says:
> We would hope that any school considering acting alone on this reconsider.
> But we say this: In the main, the peak bodies representing those schools, the peak bodies that we are in regular contact with and I can assure you we have been in regular contact with them, have assured us that they support this decision. They will keep their schools open, which is the right approach.
Was more than a bit surprised at that …
Nits are a very good analogy - they are spread by close contact - mostly by kids at school.
Pardon the pedantry, … but “Nits” aren’t spread, at all…
Headlice are, … that then lay said Nits.
Yep, I’d think at this point in time, the most compelling argument for school closures would be:
The evidence seems to suggest that, unlike influenza, children are not driving this outbreak - simply because childhood infections are largely asymptomatic. There is some asymptomatic transmission, but last I heard that was maybe a 1-2% of transmission thing. And the advice is to keep kids home if they are sick anyway.
