I had a cortina once. Dropped a 302 Windsor in it, it was fun, but a legal death trap.
The police need to start door knocking certain homes, they are easy to find, just look on FB.
if the AFP actually arrested homegrown right wing terrorists…
“They” have declared that the protests will take place every day of the 2 week lockdown.
Geez @barnz When do you think they have time for that sort of policing when there’s comedians upsetting deputy premiers to arrest.
What we need is the LNP, Labor, Greens, Unions and Feds to all come out and say, no more, go and get vaxxed and stay at home.
Pipe dream as the LNP are fomenting this and the feds have been very supportive of the protests.
LNP will be very supportive of protests in VIC. The best chance they have to get a movement of people to vote against labor.
Think that might be a case of preaching to the choir.
Not after today. Protesting on the shrine would lose a ton of respect.
Most people didn’t respect them to start with.
LNP will be very supportive of protests in VIC.
Only if they’re stupid.
So, yeah, they probably will.
wonder how many of fraser annings goons got arrested today.
Yes I do.
So to arrest 1000 people, you would need MINIMUM 2000 police and then a different vehicle to put each protestor in that you’ve arrested, then you need the holding cells to process them.
Like come on man, I was cheering them on when they took the shrine back but you’re advocating for all out warfare
Buses and a warehouse?
Yeah cause they don’t get compared to Nazis enough as is
people accuse the current labor govt of fascism, and then blame them for not being fascist?
Oh even easier than that, turn off the mobile towers. No livestreaming and no google maps
As a serviceman, and the husband of a nurse who is working herself into the ground, I am farking seething seeing that footage. My great-grandfather’s name is inscribed in the WW1 Roll inside that Shrine. My grandfather is in a photo of the WW2 exhibit beneath the Shrine. I’ve marched up the steps they were protesting on. In 2019 I pushed my 98 year-old grandfather’s wheelchair up that concourse on his last ANZAC Day that we could attend before he passed away in the middle of last year’s lock-down.
I texted a close friend who is a high-ranking Policeman and he said that the attitude they got from the protestors was that it was their “Eureka Stockade” moment. I could foam at the mouth about how the whole state has bent over backwards to keep the construction industry open since the beginning, and that all they had to do was show some decent social and community responsibility and follow the rules. I don’t want to. The people protesting wouldn’t listen anyway.
Beneath the Shrine of Remembrance is an enormous exhibition centre that cover Victorian service history going back to before Federation. If you have been to the War Memorial in Canberra, it is a similar set-up. When they were developing the centre and excavating beneath the Shrine they uncovered the support pillars that had been sunk into the ground by the workers when they built the Shrine. Most of those workers were returned servicemen from WW1. They found the support pillars had been signed and written on by the original workmen, with many including the names of their units and where they served.
If you think protesting on the steps of the Shrine is an appropriate place to voice your grievance, I would urge you, once it is open, to go to the Shrine, visit the exhibition hall and understand what the site is and why it exists. Educate yourself about the people it was built for and by, and what it is there to represent.
I’ve rewritten this post several times already, and I still don’t think I have gotten across what I am thinking and feeling, and I’m waiting for Mrs Furious to get home from her work. If they build memorials to health workers after all this ■■■■, will these people treat them the same way as well?

Can still take Vids and photos to post later.
EMP the bastards and fry their new iPhones, see how many come back to try it on again.
