The protests at the CFMEU leadership, more correctly?

Yes, commonly known as the CFMEU protests.

Case in point about why I’m worried. A friend of mine works for Fiona Patten. She is one of the three upper house cross-bench members likely to vote for the legislation.

She has received a lot of death threats in the last two weeks. Like not a few - a lot.

I had the same reaction. It was pretty funny.

Why should it be called CFMEU protests when it was not organised by the CFMEU?

If there was conspiratorial evidence that the vaccine works it’s exactly that.

It wasn’t tested en masse in the global south first. It was given to rich white people, who are now trying to protect their profits as the vaccine is given/sold to countries like Tanzania.

Huh?
Haven’t they been arguing for six solid months that the CHO has far too much power?
So now they think it’s okay for him to have the power?
I’m sure if by some small remote chance they win, they’ll have every chance to rip it up and rewrite it to suit them (exactly what Andrew’s proposes) instead of what suits them now (every decision to be argued in parliament before being implemented).

But it works?
They are more popular now than they were before the last election.
And the majority of that is because Dan has more detractors now than he ever had before.

Don’t know why the attach themselves to the fringe elements. They’re a minority, and everyone else thinks they’re ■■■■■■■■■. There can’t be votes in it, but clearly there is a bit of noise and a platform.

Good luck with that.

When you get the ABC referring to the ‘controversial Pandemic Bill’ , it is irresponsible journalism

  • controversial because 18 members of the Victorian Bar and the Opposition have condemned it in all respects
    • while others informed in the community - including the Law Council - who have been consulted in the framing of the Bill, have expressed concerns with some aspects of the Bill, while supporting its substance

It has been debated in the Lower House and will be debated further in the Legislative Council, by our elected representatives, where the Government does not have a majority.

The Opposition needs to be careful to avoid being used by far right extremists.

  • facilitated by Federal Ministers derogatory statements during last year’s big lockdown

You can’t just blame a biased media for this state of affairs.
When the head of ASIO refers to far right extremism as the greatest threat to Australians internal security.

Once upon a time - actually a few months ago - a Liberal State MP and a Federal ALP MP went public and worked together to encourage compliance with State Government measures.

I wrote an essay for my masters last year on the rise of right wing extremism. It was actually terrifying. We promote ourselves as a successful multicultural society but after that essay, it felt like we actually need to re-prosecute the benefits of multiculturalism.

Pretty sure the MP was Craig Kelly, Clive Palmers proxy.

The smiling assassin will be loving all this.

Someone told me yesterday, in all seriousness, that the proposed new laws will mean people who don’t wear a mask will be fined $90,000.

When I told them fines like that will only be issued for extreme cases, such as in people deliberately and knowingly infecting others, of course I was the one who didn’t know anything.

Seriously, Australia is ■■■■■■.

Also, the same person told me the vaxx injections arent actually vaccines because they only teach the body how to fight the virus and dont stop you getting it nor spreading it…

Seriously. Fark you humans.

So. I told them that’s exactly what vaccines do, they teach the body how to fight off the virus, and it’s the body’s immune system which actually fights the virus…and it’s never been claimed they give 100% protection…

Still not a vaccine. Can only be called a vaccine if they are 100% effective.

Christ. I’m fed up with you people. [Section removed - mod team ]

Why are there so many of these loonies in Melbourne? It’s always the same flag waving idiots who pop up in reclaim straya race rallies too. Why is this a Melbourne thing? I seriously don’t get it

Don’t bother with them. Not worth the energy. Life will progress without them.

An appallingly slow Vaxx rate in QLD says its very much not just a Melbourne thing but a there’s ■■■■■■■■ everywhere thing.
