I guess they werenât feline fine after the party.
(and yes I will see myself out after that purrfectly executed pun).
I hope their lungs donât get puss-y.
Could we say the party turned out to be catastrophic?
We should probably layoff the state border issues if this is the case.
If the federal minister is closing to New Zealand a day after their first case in three months, then itâs fair for WA or QLD to close off to any other state after a case is found.
It shows that the state measures of closing borders are similar to the federal response.
Itâll be interesting to see when they allow travellers but must quarantine and whethe they wait the 28 days until they can travel without quarantine.
I think the abundance of caution is due to it being a more infectious variant (501Y.V2).
We have 3 continents with a variant (Europe - UK, Africa - St Africa, Sth America - LA & Brazil) that is more infectious. The odds are any infection from HQ will be a far more infectious strain than the one we experienced between March and June.
That includes QLDâs last âoutbreakâ and the NSW outbreak (even though they were adamant a few days after they found the first infection that the Beralla cluster wasnât the UK strain.
Might need to take some moggydon to fix them up.
Good
Stupid cat people
Also, she visited 30 locations while infected, needs to be worked through how many might be close contacts and tested.
As her husband and son have not been infected, unlikely that she has infected anyone in the community.
She was travelling on business.
Reports suggest that only the bubble is suspended - Kiwis can still fly here but must do HQ
Correct
The lockdown in Hong Kong - 13 positive cases from 7000 tests, though there are still pockets of invisible transmission in the country.
Spoke to my GP today about vaccinations - Heâs a typically conservative HK doctor who is more comfortable with the Astra Zeneca and Sinovac older style vaccines - He feels there is no rush to roll out a vaccine program - He did express concern about first targeting older people with poor health who are in nursing homes ( not many nursing homes in HK ) for the vaccines, feeling itâs more important to vaccinate staff and regularly test them for COVID.
Victoria has one remaining locally acquired case (from Black Rock cluster), 30 OS
I am following this NZ Quarantine case with interest - Something has gone wrong if no other person is infected considering how much she was out and about in five days.
And how contagious the new virus is compared to the old one.
It sounds like she didnât go anywhere too crowded and used good hygiene practices from all reports.
Hopefully no surprises in todayâs numbers, but I am fairly amazed the Berala cluster seems to have been contained, given the number of unlinked cases and low testing rates in the area. I expected that it would bubble along with 1s and 2s of cases for longer than it did.
Good contact tracing by NSW Health, but also an element of luck again - I just have the feeling that if a similar situation occurred in Victoria it would have exploded in numbers.
I certainly got that one wrong too. I thought they were too far gone and that the NSW attitude to the virus would see it spread.
Their government copped a bit of stick but theyâve nailed it without needing to shut people in their kitchens. Impressive and also reassuring.
