COVID-19 Round 12 - c'mon, it's just a little prick

Oh gee sorry. Narre Warren not a good enough tourist destination?

Maybe for a fountain gate stabbing :joy:

Yep. It’s pretty much lockdown without the name tag.

Limits of 50 in a pub? Good luck getting near one.

Outdoor gatherings up to 10? Enjoy the hypothermia.

Shopping? shudder

(Which is all kind of the point really, and for another week, is not a big deal.)

Meh. Provided I can take my son for a walk / to the playground without becoming a fogged up glasses mess, I’ll be happy.

Yes.
But if you look at a particular article headline (I’m not farking posting it because it’s not farking worth the time to read), a 2 week lockdown for 100~ cases was not worth it.
So…
I guess…
We try and run with it and make it a 2 month lockdown based on 1k of cases…
Then it’ll be worth it…

This is where a 3 day lockdown as soon as a case occurs is worth it, if it doesn’t result in a follow up 2 or 3 week lockdown.
You’d take two or three 3 day lockdown before a 2 week lockdown any day.

3 day wouldn’t have worked in this case because of the dip ■■■■ running around with symptoms during his infectious period. We are very lucky we didn’t get a repeat of last year.

Down to 181 exposure sites now.

All she wrote. Done a good job given the circumstances.

Gotta let some visitors to the home at the very latest after the long weekend. May as well still be in lockdown

tend to agree. nothing in the 10 to 25km range that’s any good to me.

also same with what @Paul_Peos said, until i can go visit friends in melb or family out of town and while community sport is off the cards, it’s still lockdown as far as i’m concerned.

best wishes to anyone who sees tangible changes from the first easing on friday.

It would have reduced the 2 weeks down because less people would have come into contact with him.
I agree, it’s not going to stop irresponsible people like him/her from getting into contact with others.
So instead of 100 contacts and 1k contacts of contacts, it’ll be 50 contacts and 250 contacts of contacts.

Euro countries hate the poms but desperately want their tourist dollars.
Bit like the rest of Aus and victorians!!

School is pretty significant.

Of all the possible changes that can be made, kids back to school is actually the largest.

Give the kids a day off on Fri, four day weekend, then back to school on Tues.

Better idea, send them to school for the whole weekend.

I’m thinking about the teachers - they need a break. Especially teachers who are also parents.

my brothers live 26km away. 25km means we can all travel and meet somewhere in the middle for coffee. 10km doesn’t allow that. Coffee is good

I don’t think is a problem going back on Friday.
We have planned for our kiddies for Friday, so that’s all done.
But it just feels like we’re being tossed around and I would imagine that is the same for the kids… just for continuity it may be better to start back fresh on Tuesday.

Could Friday just be a fun day for the kids - i.e. you haven’t seen each other for a couple of weeks, so today just catch up with each other and we’ll start working again on Tuesday?

Then again, I was a horrible procrastinator at school, so maybe I’m just thinking what I’d want if I was in their shoes :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Now I can go for a decent bike ride without riding around in circles, in the ■■■■■■■ rain.
