Fact check: this entire post is wrong
I just wanted to post this incase it was missed in the other thread.
We Quarantine people coming in from overseas yet we allow people in from NSW who we know have the virus.
The suburbs within that testing area include Glenroy, Hadfield, Oak Park and Pascoe Vale.
Professor Sutton says some red-zone permit holders have returned to these suburbs.
“And the virus may have returned with them, so we’re asking everyone that they all need to keep getting tested right across Victoria,” he said.
“But if you’re symptomatic and in those particular post codes, we absolutely encourage you to get tested.”
Photo I saw looked more like upper middle class puffer jacket types. The ones who put signs about unfair property taxes on their fences. #nichestereotypes
Please enlighten?
Beacause for you to so immediate refute the data here.
You must have data to the contrary?
By the way- I am trying to establish what the truth is myself.
Probably shouldnt have said fact, stats I should have said.
100000% guarantee that all anti-lockdown protestors think that protestors of other causes should be run over and/or shot
TBF, we are going to see more and more of this as we go forward, especially once there is a large base of fully vaccinated who are asked to lockdown. You know we aRe not finished with lockdowns.
I thought that was your last post on the matter?
I think in the uk that euro soccer made a big uptake in cases
Not just a womans perogative to change their mind.
But your response was so immediate.
If you have statistics to the contrary.
Im completely open minded lol…well kinda swing tbh
nothing says “i’m a very serious and passionate protestor” than smiling and waving at the camera person
The graph has been doctored.
Actual graph of daily positive numbers as of today from Our World in Data is below.
stills shows a downturn. Just on a different scale.
On this scale that “downturn” is called noise.
Anybody that has been following Covid even slightly would know that it takes weeks for the impact of restrictions or easing of them to surface. Not 5 days.
yup by no means a trend.
And certainly doesn’t mean any downturn is causally linked to the end of lockdowns (far too early for that, for one).
Edit: as Klawdy said
Had my first Pfizer shot on Thursday evening.
Apart from a slightly tender upper arm on the Friday morning for an hour or so, absolutely nothing.
Heard some horror stories, “was in bed for days!” , “worst headache ever!” etc etc. but seem to have avoided that.
Booked my second shot for August 18. Hopefully that is as seamless as the last couple of days.
Does “DYOR” mean Do Your Own Research in the original post?
Good lord.
I am sooooooo glad there wasn’t f’ing social media when vaccines for small pox, leprosy etc were developed.
I think it was refuted by the fact if the majority of the population was vaccinated, that the majority of new infections would be in the vaccinated because there are just way more of them in the community but if you calculated the percentage of new infections by vacc or non vacc, the percentage in non vacc is way higher.
Therefore as an example 8 deaths in 100,000 vaccinated versus 2 deaths in 1,000 unvaccinated is greater in raw numbers but percentage wise if there were 100 000 unvaccinated in the community percentage wise there would be estimated to be 200 deaths in unvacc people. Therefore vaccinations are estimated to have prevented 192 deaths.
