Is Northcote Covid central of Melbourne or something?
Seems like a week doesnât go by without a Northcote premises being listed
The not-as-bad Coles.
@tinhillterror
Someone working a 4 hour shift on Saturday night by the sound of it.
Or doing two months of lockdown purchases in one night.
There will still be restrictions of some kind and maybe only affecting small groups till 2024.
I havenât made it to the bottom of the thread yet, but this is from the BBC on August 16thâŚ
What are the rules in England?
Social distancing
- No limits on how many people can meet
- 1m-plus guidance removed (except in some places like hospitals and passport control when entering)
- Face coverings no longer required by law, although the government still âexpects and recommendsâ them in crowded and enclosed spaces
- Some shops and transport operators still require masks
Events and gatherings
- Nightclubs can reopen
- Pubs and restaurants no longer table-service only
- No limits on guests at weddings and funerals
- No limits on people attending concerts, theatres or sports events
- No restrictions on communal worship
Travel
- Guidance recommending against travel to amber list countries removed
- Under-18s and fully vaccinated adults no longer have to self-isolate after visiting amber list countries
What guidance remains in place in England?
People should continue to meet others outside where possible.
Businesses such as nightclubs - and large events - are encouraged to use the NHS Covid Pass to check people are fully vaccinated. However, they donât legally have to do so.
People who have been working from home are being encouraged to return to the workplace gradually.
The âgoodâ Coles!!!
Actually, it sucks compares to the Norflands one.
Which was also recently added as an exposure site
And Thursday night as well.
Not sure if it has been discussed already, but it will be interesting to see how this all plays out with both airlines calling for travel by Christmas.
Doesnât matter who you are, politician, union, or CEO, self-interest rules all.
Jayne has just leased 9 ex Singapore Airlines aircraft that will arrive shortly to be refurbished and painted so of course she has interest in flights returning.
NSW has deferred its requirement for essential workers in bad LGAs to be vaxed by 30 August, new date now 6 September
- option of rapid antigen test by employer no longer available
- workers under 16yo will be exempt from the 1 dose requirement.
Unknown whether those workers will be given priority access to vax as provided for year 12 school kids
In the interim no imminent disruption to supplies and services in the good LGAs
Was that some sort of dispute of what I said, or
Not at all, Iâm agreeing with it. Jayne has a vested interest for flights to open ASAP even though Virgin wonât fly internationally for a while. Of course she wants borders open
had a survey at work today asking what your vaxx status was is or will beâŚinteresting they didnt have im a non vaxx option but did have a medical exemption option
Really, what size aircraft?
Picked up 9 ex Silkair B737-800 NGâs. All only 7 years old
Do you think the employer is building a picture of how far it could go in mandating vax for employees without losing staff?
Were there Qs in the form such as âHave you been able to access a vaxâ?
Not having the not going to be vaxed option would undermine claims that the vax hesitant are holding back the State
asked did you have access to being vaxxed
then asked if you were getting vaxxed before the 6th
id be pretty sure in the line of work im involved vaxx would be a no brianer yes mandate
Any suggestions for Round 16?
How about NSW Y2K?
