When I think of that, and what a small rock can do to a Skateboarder, … I realise that Sticks and Stones really may break bones.
Daughter tested yesterday at 1pm (tier 2 site) , still no result. Sheesh. You’d like to think 30 hours would be enough .
I got tested twice after the Fremantle game in May. Second test took 48 hours, never got the result from the first test.
I got tested three weeks back , took about 26 hours for a result. I thought that was a bit long. This is even worse. The only silver lining is that it means it’s almost certain she’s “negative”, but that doesn’t help with her employer.
It could be drysdale, shares the same post code as Wallington I think. But i figured on the case being in the Wallington area given the proximity to the Coles at OG.
Reading too much of this and other ridiculous carry on lately.
I feel like Drysdale is more likely, a fair bit bigger. They do have the same postcode.
Be surprised if it is linked to OG Coles yet, most contacts from that are getting tested later today/tomorrow. Possibly connected to one of the Geelong exposures. Waurn Ponds is a potential hot spot.
I’m assuming such strongly opinionated teenagers wouldn’t bother wearing a helmer whilst on a bike.
It’s unlikely to lead to death. Probably some hospitalisation. Worst case some brain damage. But they should be all good.
Just saw there is now a third death today but will go on tomorrow’s stats. Was also mentioned that St Vincent’s Kew is a tier 1 site
Man in his forties who worked at Serco Mill Park ( which had been previously listed as an exposure site and for which a few cases had been reported), died in hospital, reportedly had been booked for a vax.
I’m guessing they gained their opinions from someone other than themselves. Most likely from parents, you’d think.
To your point on helmets, they only reduce the chance of brain injury by 50-88% depending which study you look at, so yes, you can still get brain injury while wearing a helmet, and the risk of brain injury while riding a bike is low anyway, so why bother?
Did you also know that in almost all fatal car crashes the occupants were wearing seat belts and weren’t intoxicated?
Can’t understand why seat belts are mandatory and drink driving is illegal.
Jesus, that windy road into Queenstown would of had me ■■■■■■■■ bricks if a L plater was driving.
That’s disappointing especially with the testing numbers. I was tested a few weeks ago & got results within 24 hours.
Make sure she applies for the $450 if she’s missed any work.
Meanwhile, the old “sickie” has backfired on one bright lad.
84% of adult population had one jab here. Now we need to get the second jab done.
Remarkable effort.
How good were the jabberies!
Have heard very low % of the First Nation community.
Now it’s about jabbing small and local.

Get the second jab

There was one last year that got fired from a big 4 bank after pulling similar.
Same thing happened in Dubbo early on.
Humble Tradesman son was ITK.
A very sorry state of affairs for the young fellow involved and a very steep and costly $$ learning curve.
Vics jab rate blows the meat whistle
At least he’ll have the ‘tell us about a time you made a mistake and how you dealt with it’ example ready for any future interviews.
