Stairman Dan is a saint as well.
where are you getting one week from?
ACT extending mandatory vax for workers, but not to all, those most at risk ( including all those connected to health system)
Should perhaps have pointed out that the FED RM had all levels listed, but no mention of Travel limits in any phase, so I figured it was a State by State thing,⌠and for Vic, I could find NO Phase C plan full stop, it finished at where we are now, Phase B.
The projected time lines Oct 26, to Nov 2nd(?) IIRCâŚ

indicative dates are 26/10 and 5/11
Vax numbers in, good in Vic 96k, realised NSW has a public holiday yesterday.
Sorry, got my phases crossed. at A now âŚ
The ACT vax rates are amazing.
Last 7 days VIC has done 8.49% of the total population. So thatâs basically 10% of the 16+ getting a vax.
Not sure if bad reporting from NSW or if theyâve actually given up/run out of stock (down from 9.5% to 7.5% over the past week).
Ok, couldnât (still canât) see that one.
So it is as feared, 25kâs to away she blows.
Was hoping it may go out to 50 or so for a while.
Looks like we have just one more Month of relatively low stress, then theyâll all come swarming again⌠

I suspect itâs a combination of total take up to date and the long weekend that has caused the overall numbers slowing down in NSW.
Ah yes, forgot they take their Labour Day at a better time than us (well, not so much nowadays, given Grand Final Friday breaks up the long run between Queenâs Birthday and Melbourne Cup Day).
Gladysâ preference to being known as the popular anti lockdown premier as opposed to shutting down the state when required could be seen as being a very large error of judgment. A decision which IMO has largely cost a very weary Vic population now struggling to comply.
Wow thatâs a bold statement. Gladys is somehow to blame for Victoriaâs current situation because some Victorians couldnât be bothered doing lockdown properly again?
Maybe Victoria should take responsibility for its own situation. Or maybe the goal posts shifted with Delta which wasnât known at the time. Gladysâ approach to lockdowns had served her well previously with the Crossroads outbreak (rather ironically caused by a leak out of Victoria) and the Northern Beaches outbreak. Itâs a shame her crystal ball was broken in June.
Data point: my boss got a test result back today. Took 17 hours.
The Casula source was someone from Victoria having a so called exemption to travel for essential reasons ( engineered by the company, may have been less than truthful) - did a training course for a freight company, accompanied by social functions at the Crossroads, in breach of NSW Covid rules at the time,
Then, there was the Berala clusterâŚ

Oooft dangerous comment to make in this forum. The only acceptable comment to make is that Victoriaâs woes are 100% and entirely the fault of NSW, and there is no need to look further. Without NSW, Victoria would be living in a utopian golden age right now. How dare you question otherwise!
Boring.
Donât we have a blame thread for this crap?
Unless itâs just âthis whole thing sucksâ, which I totally agree with! This does indeed suck
Pretty much.
Thereâs nothing really to be celebrated here. Our experience has been thoroughly shithouse on every level and only through the longest period of lockdowns the world has seen have we been able to keep our death rate to roughly double that of the entire rest of the nation.
But now weâre headed full steam towards the inevitable Covid reality. An exit wave of infections, hospitalization, and death. On the other side is our real and lasting Covid normal. Come hell or high water we are opening at 80% in a little under a months time, and then weâll power through to 90% as well. Indeed itâll likely be 90% above 12y/o by December. Thatâs when weâll have something to celebrate, and I for one cannot â â â â â â â wait to get there.
Boring.
Maybe, but when the mans right, heâs rightâŚ
