COVID-19 Round 19 - Stick a Forklift in it

Nothing else discussed…
I mean…
The news mentioned that Dictator Dan was on the march insisting that booster be acknowledged as being fully vaxxed.
Not sure how that works. International travel would also need to follow suit.
Can’t have us all boosted and allow international tourists to wander around with only a double dose.

A number of European countries have set time limits on recognising vaccine shots which varies from 4 months to 6 months and which will include booster shots - The question is how many booster shots will a person need moving forward - Governments throughout the world are failing to craft their policy to fit in with the current epidemiological situation - It doesn’t help that some in society still feel that UNVAXXED are a threat of spreading COVID to the vaxxed cohort, yet Omnicron is spreading like wildfire throughout the community.

All he wants is a definitional standard. To some extent he’s playing politics, reflecting the confetti of meaningless statistics trotted out of vax numbers - fillers to pretend it’s all under control when our health sector and supply chains aren’t

The TGA approves boosters for 16 & 17 yo.

Well, did we ever get every school age kid their first injection? Because they told us there was enough doses for everyone.

Received a call last night 1000pm, a daycare worker where little miss ASB goes tested positive, and from her direct room.

The worker was there Tuesday, so far we we can’t get any information on what current procedures are. I am working from home and Little ASB and her mother are at home today.

Thankfully we are all showing no symptoms and my boss is going to drop around some more RAT tests for me.

I suppose we just start with a RAT test and go from there ??

We had a similar situation. We ended up doing a couple of Rapid Tests for each kid, which all came up negative. Then no symptoms for either of our kids so we just got on with it

Ta, much what we will do, just spoke to public health and they said it was up to the daycare on what procedure you take as the rules are always changing, and also my employment has a procedure as well, too bad if they conflict each other ?

Our daycare has had 3 positive cases since Christmas. All the workers. Little night clubbers. :joy::joy:

That’s called leaving it up to the marketplace to make the decision on what to do.

I work with incredibly vulnerable people.

One of our workers cleared iso and was returning but we decided to RAT test them in the morning using our personal supplies because testing site denied them a test and pharmacies had no stock.

They tested positive.

There is no supporting structure now.

Yikers

I wonder if it’s still transmittable at that stage though

If its enough to show up on a RAT test I would imagine so.

That’s because we’re treating this like the flu.
When it’s not like the flu. Yet.
It’s getting closer though.
We’ve pretty much jumped our way from going with the health advise to now just going straight to flu like situation with no real idea how to handle the transition nor any training on how to look after yourself from home. It’s more of a ‘see how it goes’ approach.
Of course, no politician is game enough to say that because if it backfires, it’s a political nightmare to deal with.

Lot of deaths in Vic.

  1. Not good.

Great that it’s so mild.
