Was there really a shortage of testing kits and diagnostic services ? The NSW testing figures indicate this is bunkum - It was the path Victoria and other states chose to follow.

Also Anyone entering Qld who has been in Vic is now subject to mandatory 14 day hotel quarantine at their own expense, including returning Queenslanders.

Have to ask the obvious question - Will they test these people in Quarantine/ISO ?

I’m not sure. I caught some of the Dan Andrews press conference when he mentioned they were looking at the legality of forcing a test (if it relates to a health concern for the State).

Not sure how that will go

It won’t be lawful, but who cares? No way the border closures are lawful either, and almost all states did that

Apparently they are putting Corrections in charge of the hotels now.

So the good news is that the virus won’t spread. The bad news is the people staying at the hotels might have their heads caved in by an exercise bike stem

This whole quarantine thing for the AFL is rubbish - You have the safest cohort in Victoria who are tested twice a week, have the highest bio-security protocols, fly in and out on the same day on a charter flight - They aren’t going to infect anyone and there is a bigger chance they will be infected by others - Even this quarantine rule for Victoria is inconsistent - WC can play Sydney but YET less than a week ago, Sydney played a Melbourne based team in the Bulldogs.

Fiddler’s Green is fantastic. Well at least during the Folk Fest, sitting in the sun watching some interesting music

The biggest issue at the start was that their was only 1 lab that the test could be done (and it takes 4 hours to process). They ramped up quickly then allowed more testing.
