COVID - 19 Things to do while we’re doing nothing

Received a present today (from me, to me) that will provide some light reading for the next two weeks or so

I see Spotify open in the background.

You’ve been cheating on the quiz haven’t you?

Memo. Ooshies will never be worth more than they are now…

I might start collecting and selling them myself. :slightly_smiling_face:

Just got a message that my longboard racing/slalom trucks have just been finished!
With a bit of luck I’ll have em for Oct 19th as we plan to hit up Lake Mountain or Mt Donna once restrictions ease again.

What did you order?

new Rogue slaloms.
50 degree front plate, 20 degree rear and 106-116mm adjustable hangars.

You don’t muck around. Pimpin

Yeah deff jumping on board the current downhill meta trend of narrow hangars and short wheelbases haha.

Sadly, when I was a kid and learned to skateboard, this is what the road outside my house looked like. If I stayed on it for more than a few seconds at a time, I was in mortal danger.

Speaking of which, why did my parents buy me a skateboard? Did they not like me?

Few months back I ordered some mushroom kits. I think the mob is called new generation mushrooms (melbourne somewhere).

Anyway while they probably don’t work out cheaper than buying mushrooms they are pretty interesting. They can work out cheaper if you turn to propagating from the kits they sell or from grain spawn. It’s pretty involved but a good time consumer when you are hanging around…

Some species you can just grow on woodchip mulch spread in the garden (low tech).

Here’s the original kit and then some I propagated from mycelium off the base of those harvested oyster mushrooms, in boiled straw mixed with pasteurised coffee.

First hit of the cricket pre-season today, went with a teammate to the nets at Strathmore. Fair to say a fair bit of rust, but it was so good to feel bat on ball again, and what a day to do it!

Bought a swing, slide, climb cubbyhouse for the little one, unpacked the boxes today and realised I’ll need a carpenter, mathematician and a couple of labourers to get it done :joy:

Couple of beers and you’ll be fine. Might not be to code tho…

I’ve started to buy Christmas decorations. I figure with so many more people home these days these items will run out soon.

I’m quite chuffed with this little piece I’ve started to put together. It might not end up being exactly like this and it won’t stay in that spot but it’s a solid start.
