Gibson would be an upgrade on Myers

Myers wonā€™t be getting a game next season unless he upgrades himself a lot over the offseason.

Nopeā€¦ and nor was I suggesting WSPHUā€¦ I literally know nothing about himā€¦ hence the question.

By the sound of itā€¦ some think he is a dud and some think he is better than myersā€¦ ergo a dud.

That was an all time great moment. Sorry madz.

So as a hypothetical, whoā€™s better Howlett or Gibson. I donā€™t want either on our list but would take Gibson over Howlett every day of the week.

What about Nick Suban? I donā€™t want him eitherā€¦Iā€™m just a bit confused how he got to 150 games. Was he actually a taggerā€¦because considering his stats (doesnā€™t seem to have ever averaged more than 15 disposals in a season and heā€™s described as a midfielder), I reckon he must have been.

Agree. I think my point is that we look at our older fringe players and evaluate if they remain on the list or not based on what is available outside of EFC.

Played back pocket most of the time I reckonā€¦

Apologies for the formatting. Metres gained and disposal efficiency is solid.

Fair to say I have no idea if heā€™s any good though, and being delisted by North wouldnā€™t be a good sign!

Jimmy Bartel.

WSPHU, on condition he grows the beard back.

yeah, he can bore our opposition to death

Just heard Gus monfries interviewed - what an impressive young man. Well done on a great career.

Keen to play at some level next year and very interested in welfare. Would love to see him play vfl and hired in a welfare role at the club.

Although not sure we have a vacancy.

Possibly. I think I was confusing him with Slatts.

Got my whipping boys mixed up.

How suspension over Essendon drug saga made Angus Monfriesā€™ retirement call easy
Michael Randall, Herald Sun

RETIRING Port Adelaide forward Angus Monfries says he has no bitterness over the Essendon drug saga, but knows that it forced an early end to his career.

Monfries played 211 games for the Bombers and Power, but missed the entirety of 2016 after the ASADA decision to suspend 32 players involved in the Essendon supplements saga.

ROCK ON: BRISBANE DECLINES TO MATCH ROCKLIFF POWER DEAL

ā€œI think the whole situation wasnā€™t an ideal one ā€¦ but Iā€™ve got no bitterness,ā€ Monfries said on SEN Breakfast this morning.

ā€œThings happen in footy and obviously as a footy club and as an individual, you would have done things a little bit differently.

ā€œBut I donā€™t look back with any bitterness, it was just the cards that were dealt at the time (Iā€™m) more than happy to move on and forget about it.ā€

Monfries said the decision to retire was easy after he was unable to recapture the form at the Power that made him a star at Essendon.

ā€œI think the year off didnā€™t help me at my age and I just couldnā€™t find the form required to play at that top level again,ā€ he said.

ā€œI felt like the year off probably gave me a little bit of a chance to freshen up the body and get a couple of other things right, but then did a little bit of a shoulder injury at the end of the year in 2016 and was chasing my tail a bit after that so couldnā€™t quite get to where I wanted to go this year.ā€

The 30-year-old said he was proud of a career that yielded 248 goals.

ā€œIā€™d say that I can look back and I can be pretty proud,ā€ he said.

ā€œIā€™ve been lucky enough to play at two great footy clubs and been involved in a number of finals campaigns and a lot of big games.

ā€œI feel very lucky to have had the journey that I have.ā€

Looking more and more likely Harrison Wigg is going to be delisted rather than CEY.
21yo 180cm drafted as a half back but has already been turned into an inside mid. Racks em up in the SANFL.
Better option than Miles I reckon particularly considering their relative ages.
