He still is a little upset at that and was never really given a decent reason. He had 3 consecutive 50’s in the series against the Poms in England and then failed in all 3 games against the Saffers here in the summer and was dropped. Never got another chance

Stoinis and Maxwell not making the 25 man squad for the Aus v Aus A game makes me happy.
Even better when Langer comes out and says both would be unhappy with WC performances.
Hopefully a line through both for the future in Tests and ODI’s

If they want someone who can play cameos at the back end of an innings.
Then Turner should be replacing Maxwell in the ODI squad now. At least he has shown an ability to chase down scores something Maxwell hasn’t been able to do from memory.
Maxwell would still be one of our better T20 batsmen and that is where he should be focusing all his energies (and cashing in in the back end of his career.)

Turner would want to do something other than BBL form then.
What was it with him - Audi or Olympic rings? and a couple of goldens in there.
He is averaging 66 in the ODIs he has played against India in India - including a match winning innings of 84* off 43 chasing 359. Came in after Maxwell went out with 13 overs left with the team needing 120 odd and did it in 11 overs.
He did go bust in the IPL 2019, but who cares about the IPL.

Kiwis won the toss and deciding to bat first. Runs ok the board in a final is a pretty good policy.
