Time for a new thread.

On Hazelwood my view is he good to go but CA have a different view.

Not sure about winning but we’re building at the right time.

My thread made use of a 4 in cricket terms!

If Cummins, Starc, JRichardson are our first 3 pacemen picked.

And Hazlewood is an experienced reserve bowler, who is likely being shelved for the longer form particularly with the Ashes coming up.

It would leave Coulter-Nile, KRichardson, Behrendorff, , Stanlake, Tye in that order in the next tier. Personally, I would like to see more short form specialists in this grouping, with Tye being the only out-and-out short form bowler, and the 32 yo has been thoroughly worked out.

Daniel Sams, is a bit of a late bloomer and could be one to watch over the next few years; hopefully he can develop his bowling against more credentialed opponents. He is a quality lower order batsmen too.

I still have hope of Patto getting back to his best, but I’d prefer he targeted the Test arena.

Will Sutherland has big wraps on him, but he’ll likely be talked up as the next coming of Keith Miller and have his career finished before it begun

Stanlake should have had a line put through him when he couldn’t finish more than 4 overs in his ODI debut.

It was a good first spell though.

Has Marsh been included in the squad yet?

Not yet as i understand but he’s been flown over on standby while they further assess Stoinis’ side strain. Given the nature of these strains, you’d have to think it’s almost fait accompli that he will be out for at least a few weeks and Marsh will come in.

We’ve won 13 ODI games out of the last 15 we have played, including beating both favourites on their own turf, and sitting second on the WC ladder with 3 from 4 WC wins.

Where do you want to take this

Yeah there’s cause for optimism, yet to be convinced or confident that we’ll go all the way but definitely in with a shot if we keep building to our best cricket. Want to find some wickets with the ball…

How can you not have reserve days for a World Cup in England?

NR good result for us, we just need to make sure we beat Bangladesh

Their ovals aren’t much bigger than centre court at Wimbledon. Maybe move some matches there under the roof.

So with the NZ India game getting abandoned it means every team has drops points. Looking like rain is going to leave it’s mark in this World Cup.
