Umpires call means the review is retained, in theory it should encourage more lbws like that to be reviewed as it minimises the risk
So far this game is being decided by which team is making better refferals.
Also, am I the only one noticing how clunky and crap bat on ball is sounding?? Is it something to do with the balls or just the mic quality? Don’t think I’ve noticed it before…

Lyon was 95% sure it was out and Paine was only probably 70% certain it was out. The keeper being captain makes it hard because as just a keeper I think he would have reviewed it but as a skipper he would tend to be a bit more conservative

Any stump that moves that much, the bails should absolutely dislodge. Maybe they need to go to technology for this and say well, the ball hit the stumps therefore you are out, especially if they are going to persist with these ■■■■ bails that weigh 4 times as much as a standard one and don’t dislodge.

I just don’t see what the selectors see in Paine. Average keeper, average bat, average captain.
Not overly impressed with our bowling, they are not really troubling these guys all that much.
