Emma
Melitzanosalata actually.
OMGâŚ
If one were to check Barhamâs diary and mobile, I would not be shocked at a raft of contacts with Thorburn, intensifying around the time of X departure.
Ditto with Brad Scott after the Clarkson deal fell through
This is who we want, now go through a process to deliver them to the Board
I disagree. Governance wasnât the issue. If there was no process then thatâs a lack of governance. It was a failure of process. This falls squarely on EY who seemingly did not require all candidates to declare all leadership positions, including in a volunteering capacity.
The road to hell etcâŚ
yeah eggplant is disgusting
Should have spilled the whole board, this is getting ridiculous
Anyone doing an interview would ask about current and previous positions, what the jobs entail and the relevance to the position applied for.
Sure, but itâs not a governance failure. Itâs a failure of process.
A failure of process is governance 101
It depends if you see the decision to appoint as the incorrect decision. I donât think it was at the time. It was well intentioned and issues around RC are reasonably manageable. But the process that produced the appointment failed to contemplate some sort of declaration process re leadership roles. I think thatâs a failure of process rather than governance.

Donât trigger me.
Procedural fairness and equity underpins justice in society. Itâs reflected in Christian teaching,
But if you prefer the end justifies the means, some would call it a touch of evil ( as in the Orson Wells film of that name)
He stays as president, more â â â â to sift through but he is a doer not a BS talker
And the leaking and backgrounding starts againâŚ
Feels like things will get worse before they get better. This ârefreshâ has some more scalps to take
You could be right, but it read like a controlled leak by Barham himself.
