On what logic?
His logic - no one elses.
Or Wing Langfart.
Ouch
Nah Wright will be ruck and he will
play Bryan off the bench as relief.
Bryan will only get like 40% game time, like when he used to sub him out.
Perkins in is a surprise, but happy with the other changes.
I kinda just hope we get beat by 100 points every week until the board have no choice but to sack him.
Redman on Stringer, LAV on Caddy?
■■■■ off, Brad. Perkins? Seriously!?
Blaki as a permanent defender! He has no idea with or without the ball
I think Scott thinks he’s coaching a basketball team
Brad likes to do the opposite of the good teams.
Brad just wants a payout before returning to a cushy boys club role at AFL HQ.
Clearly.
3 years in a row he has finally dropped him after an extended run off putrid form, only to give him max 2 or 3 weeks in the VFL (where he doesn’t do much anyway), then brings him straight back in for an extended run off nothingness. I dunno if I’ve seen a player as loved by a coach as Brad with Perkins.
Clearly, with an unbalanced team selection like that, we are already in full tanking mode
More than a little strange. My thoughts:
- Finally, Scott has realised that Zac Johnson is, currently, a much better defender than young Kondo who needs a year in the VFL to develop.
- I get bringing Bryan in, essentially for McKay, which allows Blakiston to play FB (Riccardi) with Reid on Cadman. Bryan, as #2 ruck should have no problem against Riccardi/Cadman as their #2 ruck. Fingers crossed on Wright vs Griggs.
- May comes straight back in as the best contested mark in the side up forward. But why does Cox stay in as we look too tall. It seems like they are going to return Cox to the wing and ADW to small forward.
- Redman for El Hawli
- Perkins for Gresham - except Perkins has been playing midfield in the VFL, not small forward. It’s almost like ADW replaces Gresham as a small forward, Cox replaces ADW on the wing…..and Perkins replaces Tsatas in the midfield. Seriously?
- Parish for Caldwell makes sense.
This will be one of the very few games where Reid, Perkins and Cox play together in the same game. Perhaps that’s the key that unlocks to puzzle of this week’s team selection. It must be a Scott dream to have all 3 play together regardless of form/team balance.
Is this not how it works when you’re rebuilding?
Could McGrath play on Stringer? Doubt McGrath could stick a tackle on him, but he could beat him to win the footy every time and run off him with ease.
