I’d probably have meznie as a lock for r1 just cos our other players are not as along their development as him.

Bold call to have duz fringe, I don’t agree

FWIW, I agree with both those things.

I really don’t think of Redman as a medium defender. Even though he arguably has the height for it and funny think he plays very tall in a one on one. I don’t Roberts has medium defender Suze at ths stage too.

I think setterfield is a lock

I really hope Setterfield is a lock.

But BDB and I do not always agree.

For reference, please see Jake Kelly on a wing.

It’s 108 days as we countdown to Round 1. 108 is also the listed playing weight for former Essendon Ruckmen David Hille and Tom Bellchambers.

Only Paul Salmon, at 112kg, has a higher listed playing weight for the Bombers

same hope Setterfield is a lock, important to have a defensive mid in there that can accumulate his own footy.
For Reference Pat Voss in the VFL and sub subsequently delisted.

It’s 107 days until we take on the Hawks in Rd 1.

107 is the margin Essendon beat St Kilda by in Rd 9, 1901. The first time the Dons won a match by 100+ points.

Fred Hiskins :camera_flash: kicked 4 & finished 1901 with a Premiership & 34 goals to top our goal kicking

If you have 107 days of material lined up for this, I’ve gotta say, I’m going to be very impressed.

There are some bangers coming. It’s a fair way away, but 13 might be my favourite so far.

Part of our final show of the year will be looking ahead to 2024, what we’re watching out for and some predictions.

We want to hear listener’s thoughts as well. We’ve put together a Google Form with the questions we’ll be answering and we’ll share some of our favourite responses on the show. There’s also a competition to win a Don The Stat T-Shirt as well.

That one will be in the Countdown, but not at 13. Reckon I’ve found something even better

106 days until Round 1. 106 is how many times Essendon has defeated North Melbourne since their VFL inception in 1925. A win rate of 64%

St Kilda is the only of the remaining VFL clubs we have a better win % against.

It’s 105 Days to Round 1.

105 was also Essendon’s final score in our two finals against Hawthorn in the 1984 Finals Series.

In the 9 point Semi-Final loss and then again in our come from behind, drought breaking 24 point win in the Grand Final
