Walla was fantastic today.
Where I was sitting, there always seemed to be a delayed reaction to his goals, because no one could quite believe he managed it.
Even some Pies supporters behind us came out with a “wow” after a few of them.
An observation, not what happened on the field, but right in front of me.
There was a mother with a 5 year old child. Right in front of them were two women, one an Essendon supporter, one for the filth. The filth supporter turns around and full on goes at the 5 year old for bumping the back of her seat. My son saw it, said it was nothing more than an accidental tap.
Anyway, the 5 year old is reduced to tears, but this person keeps going and going. The Mother and daughter then leave to seek security, the Police then turn up. They leave, overheard the Police saying that they were finding them alternative seats. The filth supporter tries to lecture the cops about her sore back, and the cops are like - we are trying not to take sides, but “she’s a 5 year old girl!”.
When we get three goals up in the final qtr, this supporter yells something at me while I’m celebrating the goal about needing to take a syringe hit. So classy, and completely beneath any response. Hope she’s sleeps well tonight.
That writer sounds like one of us.
