I cant be the only one slightly intrigued about these drones… when the fbi, dod and pentagon all say “we dont know where they are coming from” it makes for potentially an interesting story
I bet my asbestos house that it is a collective mania, an internet-and-phone-driven nothing burger, domestic drones mixed with normal manned aircraft and satellites etc, above a strained populace who haven’t seen their toes for a long time cos of their guts but now can’t see stars cos of their brains… 95% of the reports will come from people looking up only cos of the mania. It’s hilarious. It’s depressing. It’s nothing.
For the sake of the arguement then, the US is unable to stop a bunch of recreational drones in anyway… or choose not to. Or they arent a bunch of recreational drones.
As I’ve previously said, I’m hoping the aliens have arrived.
Or it’s their drones. Or it’s not illegal to fly the drones.
In June 1962, a peak month in factory production, 62 workers at a dressmaking factory in a textile town in the Southern United States experienced symptoms including severe nausea and breaking out on the skin. Most outbreaks occurred during the first shift, where four fifths of the workers were female. Of 62 total outbreaks, 59 were women, some of whom believed they were bitten by bugs from a fabric shipment. Entomologists and others were called in to discover the pathogen, but none was found.

Kerchoff linked the rapid rate of contagion with the apparent reasonableness of the bug infestation theory and the credence given to it in accompanying news stories.

They are probably planes tbh.
and i hope sydney gets it first
Which makes it interesting that people are literally shooting at them
Its their drones is the most likely answer, but why would the Pentagon say we dont know where they originated from then?
FTFY
Cos (a) they’re not there - they’ve already identified that a huge amount of the phenomena is known, manned aircraft, and (b) even though we’re all being watched, it’s much more surveillance capitalism (I noticed you bought a drone, here’s a million ads about drone accessories) more than state surveillance (Gavin Boop from 129 Pornhub Road, Wyoming bought a recreational drone, put it in the spreadsheet, Major).
I think it’s unmanned aircraft.
But I’ll play the game. There would be no chance they’d let foreign drones fly around.
Thats reasonablish… but why then would Chuck Schumer the senate majority leader be sating “we dont know what is going on and we need to find out?”
To sell drones?
I think we are at peak not believing the government - in the U.S especially. So even if the government made statements, people are choosing to believe an alternative view. I also think there is a level of hysteria post covid that people are feeling.
probably cos his party just got embarassed and he wants to be seen as doing something the nuts can get behind to hold onto his seat and power like most of the rest of the senate do, that or he stands to make money from his proposals to implement new anti drone tech across NY and NJ based on this mania
There has already been a few posts in the General News thread, but I agree it’s really fascinating and it’s actually getting me interested in the news lol.
I believe the US government surely have more information than they are letting on, but it’s all speculation about what they could be. To be honest, they are probably their own drones. People are definitely seeing some planes and some drones are obviously military. The orange orb ones are arousing the conspiracy theorist in me though!
What Heffsgirl just said…
Politicians like Schumer, chastened (finally, but probably only temporarily) by the recent election, are wary of telling the American public that “we know better than you”. So no one is comfortable saying “you all need a Bovril… legal drones have been increasing in the skies for a long while, you’re just noticing this now though, as a self-compounding collective freakout that’s seeing planes, satellites, weather balloons and stars as malevolent night entities… And yes there’s potentially a bit of spy activity in the mix but that’s always going on and we’re on it…you’re all just a bit cooked darlings”
At least not til the midterms, anyway
For those who haven’t already read it in the other thread;:
I’ve always appreciated the fact that Aliens typically display navigation and location lights for us. Very civic and aeronautical-regulatory minded of them.
